  1. The Ev could do with Paul Mullin atm.
  2. I'm really deflated/flat about this season after that window but will do nothing but back the lads on the pitch inside SJP tomorrow*. Anyone in the ground who doesn't is an arse. *might be difficult in the Platty Clerb but will still give it a try
  3. Aye, but the feeling this Arsenal side's headloss gives me is just what I imagine a shot of heroin is like.
  4. Get in. Hope Brighton score an incredibly controversial winner.
  5. It's harsh, like. Funny though because it's to the detriment of that cunt Arteta and his repulsive football club.
  6. Arsenal fume. 💉💉
  7. An unmitigated failure. Can't comprehend that as a numerical value tbh.
  8. Window's been an unmitigated failure tbh and we're asking Howe to overachieve to get Europe again. Everything crossed he can but it shouldn't have had to be like this.
  9. "Kuqi from:NUFC" in the search bar. Took about 2 seconds.
  10. Whew. Some coup. Didn't expect that.
  11. Surely Forest will ask for a hefty fee beyond his worth at this point in the window if this has any legs whatsoever (it doesn't).
  12. Howay SUPERTOON, man.
  13. Because Cole won the double and we won nowt? Admit I'm being facetious as fuck there.
  14. Genuine question and not trying to cause #ructions or anything at all, just curious as I wasn't alive then, but did any point post 1993 during events such as when we sold Cole in 1995 or when we sold Ferdinand and Ginola in 1997 whilst bringing in a past it Ian Rush et al have any fans saying "well we had McKeag x years ago"?
  15. This game last season saw us tactically switch it up for the first time in quite a while; seemed to play a back 5 out of possession with Anderson at LWB and Murphy at RWB, Gordon and Barnes on opposite wings and looking for the first time over the top ball to use their and Isak's pace to expose Spurs' highline. Don't think we've the players to do that again though given the lack of available CBs.

    Marc Guehi

If you looked at the results after I wouldn't say it was that. Me and my infinite wisdom would pinpoint it unravelling either when Isak got injured and went off at home to Dortmund or when Pope went off injured against Man Utd at home.
  17. The funds we've been offering for an overpayment for Marc Guehi, I imagine.
  18. 2 years ago; the teams that finished around us then are all stronger now whilst we aren't.
  19. We've a net spend of £485m over the last 10 years, higher than 5/6 of the big 6; bigger than Liverpool's. (site is in € so I've converted it to £) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/fuenfjahresvergleich/wettbewerb/GB1
  20. It's may well be just feelings of malaise that's snowballed from the transfer window but I'm a lot less confident in Howe now than I was 12 months ago, really can't lie. Posted why in my long post in the Bournemouth thread which I won't rehash. And I was one of his biggest advocates when the takeover went through, when he took over and was thoroughly backing him when 25% of this forum wouldn't have minded to see him sacked after 10 games in charge. Something just isn't right atm.

    Marc Guehi

I personally would've rather bitten the bullet and sold just 1 of those 3, probably Gordon, and refreshed the team with the money from his sale rather than have the window we're currently having. As Isak is irreplaceable for me as is Bruno's character (and that we are incapable of winning matches without him even against the most rancid opposition). Regardless of that, we've been bidding for/chasing Guehi for the better part of a month so we have money to spend. If its true that we think Guehi and Guehi only can improve this team for £65m, it's an absolute joke.
  22. Craig Hope, a journalist who loves driving agendas and sticking the knife in. Steve Bruce was 100% spot on about him. So am taking that with huge dollop of salt. But if that article has a semblance of truth, good lord.
  23. Perhaps but when we've been waving ~£65m for Guehi for the better part of a month and have failed to secure him with seemingly no alternative, it looks more quite unprofessional especially for a club that stated in July that we expect to be in Europe. With how unsustainable we've looked so far, away from home for 12 months, we look nowhere near. And aye fully agree, I mentioned that in my long vent in the Bournemouth thread. We seem to be averse to being bold in the market on incomings and outgoings. Whoever that's down to I'm unsure.
