Season's nadir, that. Out of the CL cruelly the week or so before. then getting lucky with it only being a 1-0 defeat at Luton. A few days later going a goal up against Forest before collapsing, Chris Wood beating the total he scored at SJP for us against us in 1 game and Forest looking like 2007-08 Man Utd on the counter attack.

Impossible to gauge until after the transfer window. Have to get it right because there's something special bubbling away - 85 PL goals - not even any of Keegan's sides scored that many. Get those 2 defenders on frees in, get a top quality right winger in, replace Wilson as our 2nd striker option and work on controlling games a bit more, especially away from hyem.

The Chiswick Stoke City, their creep manager and heinous rats they have as players striking again. Hope they gan bust.

Being only 8 points off the top 4 is impressive, tbf.

Man Utd in front as well. Fucking hell.

Should take that earlier.

Toney being an insufferable cunt? Colour me shocked.

This season is now officially our best ever goalscoring PL season. Beaten 1993-94.

Get in! Then a shot of that fat racist beast has ruined the afternoon.

All the rivers for this game I've been able to find have been shite.

Fully deserved. Great performance so far.

A potential incoming transfer being a 'good pick up'. Fills me with hatred and makes me wish awful ills upon whoever says it.

If I get the time, money and ticket(s) without the club thinking I'm an Untermensch for wanting to support Newcastle United away from home, I'd absolutely love to do Dinamo Tbilisi away. Until then, the disrespect for the likes of Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag will continue.

Really hope that it's just lazy journalism. Would give them the money for a run at Bruno or Isak as well. Stop being a misery cunt you drunken mess. @HaydnNUFC

Which is an issue that needs to be addressed in the summer; our RW hasn't been good enough really for a couple years now and we have a permacrock in Wilson as our secondary striker to Isak. If we get Conference League and in October we're having to field Isak against Vaduz or Dynamo Eastern Bloc Shithole as well as PL matches then we've reapt what we've sown in the summer.

After having 6th in our hands for a while now being out of any sort of Europe next season feels like a bit of a failure to me. Maybe harsh given the assortment of problems we've had across this season but that's how I feel at this current moment in time. This version of NUFC have to consistently play European football of some form imo, to raise the profile of the club, attract players, keep hold of our best players. Not achieving that given our position as recent as last week feels like a step back. And I don't even think missing out is a positive. Howe, the squad; bloody hell the club as a whole and I'm including the supporters in that need to get used to us playing 3 games a week at a decent level if we want to compete with the elite teams in this league. Congestion of fixtures has been labelled an obstacle of ours this season; successful/elite clubs play the most matches regularly. And the Conference League (as much as I wanted Europa League) is perfect for getting used to and learning how to manage a squad for minutes and fitness. What's to say we miss our on Europe altogether this season, we finish 4th or 3rd next season, that 2025-26 isn't a carbon copy of this? Probably a reach, but how I feel.

Yep. Maybe it's harsh, but for us not be playing European football of some description feels like a bit of a failure. Not having any form of it will feel like a big step back. Even just getting Howe and the squad used to managing 3 games a week at a decent level regularly is a huge bonus.

He just isn't very good. Can't be loyal to him because he's a Geordie and 'he's a great lad' or 'good in the dressing room' or whatever. He should not be starting the bulk of our league games next season. Against a shithole suburb of Ljubljana if we can manage to beat the team that's 16th away from home on Sunday, aye.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
HaydnNUFC replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
The positions and passes that Forest were able to find for Chris Wood at SJP ( ) is what we should've/should be doing with Isak away from home. At least until we can the midfielder and extra quality in attack alongside him (RW) to help us look after the ball and impose more control in games such as tonight. -

We continually haven't got the best out of Isak away from home. He was poor tonight, mind. But it's an issue that Howe needs to sort.
