How would we sort PSR down the line though? Given the club have not tried any work arounds such as training wear sponsors, other form of sponsorship, fiddling with a deal that involves selling the women's team to themselves or challenging PSR verbally or legally I'd imagine that'd entail having to sell a Tonali, a Gordon or similar. As Watkins and Wissa we are pretty much guaranteed to make a sizeable loss on if we signed them this window given their ages and the fees they'd command. I think this window has shown having Champions League football to offer means next to fuck all, it's about having the most money.
  3. Regarding attachment, it was hard not to get attached tbf. Especially for younger fans such as I; this fella was/is basically our Andy Cole, I suppose. As I posted before not only did I love him because of how good he was at footy but I absolutely adored his nonchalant personality off the pitch and in the media. Then sometimes some #pashun would seep through like when he leapt over the hoardings and was in amongst the fans away at Southampton in the cup semi final after assisting Joelinton. His celebration that had become somewhat iconic. That this whole charade has gone the way it has makes it sting a fuck ton more, hence the vitriol being startling. But as has been mentioned it's something we'll have to get used to this sort of thing with how player trading is. Was speaking to an old housemate of mine who's a Chelsea fan and he said the last player he felt genuine attachment and love for was Hazard. Maybe an extreme example given the utter state of the way Chelsea act with player trading but we'll likely have to start feeling this way too. (Bruno being probably an exception, mind)

Wish him all the best this season at Porto/Aston Villa/Spurs.
  5. AVB is Porto’s president and Andy Howe’s idol. Makes you think.
  6. 6 goals in 9 games in the Europa League, which is probably a better barometer.
  7. Vastly irritating how we’ve went from hearing about signings when we’ve had bids accepted to this nonsense, mind.
  8. please please please please go for him
  9. Yep. And if we do prefer him there to Osula, it just suggests Osula is never going to be good enough tbh. He isn’t a kid anymore; he’s 22 and if he’s not getting minutes ahead of a player being played out of position the writing is on the wall.
  10. Always been a NUFC supremacist. Until now, obviously.
  11. Was at Chester-le-Street Town 1-0 Billingham Town on Tuesday. My first ever non NUFC match I’ve ever been to. A truly grim spectacle in terms of the football played, Chester may as well have been playing one twos with the sky in the first half and Billingham joined them in doing so in the second but really enjoyed it, good craic. Goal come 10 minutes from time, Billingham centre half misjudging a high ball, CLS pouncing and lobbing the keeper first time. One bit of quality in an otherwise drab game. Will probably go back.
  12. That’s what a DOF is for which PIF need to hire. Gotten 3 of the below list in the last 24 hours. God, this club is desperate.
  13. Keegan hasn’t been involved in football since 2008, man. Suggesting a serious role at the club for him is just lunacy.
  14. NUFC das whenever Newcastle United are faced with even the mildest inconvenience:
  15. A Netanyahowe transfer window, that.

Wish him all the best at Leverkusen.

    Yoane Wissa

Except we’re currently weaker than we were 2 years ago. With 8 extra games instead of 6.

    Yoane Wissa

For less than £40m as well. Unbelievable sorcery.
  19. Can any of them play up front
