  1. Anyone wearing those things is a certified toucher.
  2. Dreading it now tbh. I'm not watching and yes its only preseason and yes the conditions are absolutely minging to play in but many things about the club atm absolutely reek.
  3. Whilst true, the message it would send if we sold Isak to Liverpool would be absolutely appalling.
  4. Can only speak from own experience; never done Liverpool away but I’ve done Goodison twice and it’s only ever been good craic. Closest I ever had to bother was before the game we won 1-4, got off at Kirkdale Merseyrail station and some scruffy looking gadgie asked me a bit aggressively after lighting something up in foil ( ) if I was Geordie. Given I’d had 8-10 pints at this point I said aye and my Everton mate I was with immediately went ‘yeah he’s with me, fuck off ya ming’ and that was that. Talked to a few scouse Liverpool in the Dublin Castle in Camden the day before the final and they were sound as fuck.
  5. Love the city of Liverpool, one of my favourite nights out in the country and am real good mates with a few scousers. But they’re all Evertonians, so always preferred #TheEv even in spite of how hilarious they’ve been the past few years and how weird our and their chronically online fans have been about each other in the last decade. Not been overly fond of LFC, though I massively respect Spirit of Shankly for what they do and the Hillsborough groups/families for what they’ve done and been through. Their fans were mostly sound before and after the final but again their online, likely non scouse fanbase make them unbearable.
  6. I'm not hugely excited about the prospect of signing Sesko due to the admittedly outrageously tiny sample size from the Euros where I wasn't convinced by him. Do get that leading the line for Slovenia wouldn't exhibit the best of him but also generally sceptical about signing attackers from the Fraudesliga Bundesliga, in recent years they haven't translated well here. However, the unknown is always exciting in a way and he's the same age Isak was when we signed him, bearing in mind Isak also had a on-the-face-of-it poor goal scoring return the season before he signed for us and only one eye catching season at first team level in a decent league in 2020-21. Still don't see it happening due to the sheer level of pessimism this window has spawned. All this talk about 'admiring' the player and 'trying to agree personal terms' and 'preparing bids'. That nothing concrete has happened yet...well, we know how it ends.
  7. He has an awful illness and I wish the best for his health but I never warmed to him, always seemed a bit smarmy to me, a bit of a Del Boy who set the tone with his cringe ‘mackem in Milan’ comment made at the CL draw. Then you’ve got the Mitchell appointment, recent transfer windows, putting ticket prices up regardless of fan concern and his role in the current mess.
  8. ‘preparing a bid’. Chuck it alongside;
  9. Is this window from hell the payment we have to undertake for finally banishing the trophy curse?
  10. Also I find it hard to believe that 50% voted for option 4. Everyone I know who’s voted did not vote for option 4; yet they’re claiming 50% did? It just stinks, dressing up a club decision as fan led one just like they’ve done with ballots and checks.
  11. They did send an open letter to Eales tbf, who replied with the expected unmitigated bullshit of 'we need to put them up because of PSR'.

    "Understandably that means Newcastle are looking at alternative targets, with Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko among the forwards being considered. The i Paper can reveal that there has already been preliminary contact made on Jackson but that the Blues are quoting teams an astronomical £80m for the Senegal international. Sources believe Newcastle’s valuation is closer to £65m, which is more in line with the £69m that they were prepared to pay for Hugo Ekitike. It remains to be seen whether Newcastle follow up initial enquiries with an offer given they are also working on a move for Sesko." If we fork out anywhere near that much on Jackson.
  13. Admittedly not really having much of a clue regarding if this is feasible or not but he’s definitely away within the next 12 months. If not this summer then January or next summer. So we’re guaranteed a hefty bit of cash coming in soon. Can the club not anticipate that money and spend ahead now to get players in rather than just waiting for a sale?
  14. I kna (or at least hoping in this case) it’s just shite craic but our fans with ‘bring x back’, man. Bring Keegan back. Bring Staveley back. Bring Perez back. Bring Rafa back. Bring Mitrovic back. Bring ASM back. As bad as the mackem craic of bring back Baaaaaally.
  15. Personally think Hope is a bit of a wanker who loves the smell of his own shite. Not excusing the other NE journalists either btw, they’re all appalling in their own way.
