  1. Aye, had absolutely zero issue with them going for the win. I feared we were going to suffer a 0-4, 0-5 loss when we conceded immediately after half time and down to 10 men. It would’ve been a miraculous point and a win would’ve been absolutely phenomenal. Was so proud of the fight back. Love those lads to bits.
  2. Criteria of a ‘bagsman’; were just discussing that in the Bridge Hotel with the lads pre match on Monday.
  3. Are the next 24/48 hours crucial?
  4. 1973 FA Cup finalists going out in harmony marra. FTM.
  5. West Ham look like they’ve taken the whole away end yet it looks half empty? Strand Larsen again hahaha
  6. Celtic and Rangers out? Thank fuck. No way for our fans to embarrass ourselves in Glasgow for a while at least. Hope we don’t get Kairat away.
  7. Think it’s 1984-esque draconian horseshit. E-tickets make it far too easy to tout. Clubs will never go back to paper tickets however as all they give a shit about is money rather than who sits in the seat. Including NUFC.
  8. Varys saying something daft to deflect from how dreadful his own side were is he? The Israel of the football pyramid, that club. Cunts from nowhere near the city claiming to ‘support’ them with the media to back it up.
  9. Gutted more for the players than anyone else. Deserved something and then some from that tonight. Sake.
  10. Please can they play Thunderstruck instead of Hey Jude.
  11. Need to be better in away matches like that tbh. Sick of seeing a few accepting shite getting served up year after year because ‘well we’re always shit at ground x’.
  12. Man City look so pedestrian. As soon as Tottenham break they outnumber Man City at the back at jogging pace, like the fuck?
  13. Not (yet) according to the bastion of knowledge that is Wikipedia. Bringing kits out well after the season’s started? The woke have won.
  14. Do Spurs not have a third kit currently? Otherwise what the hell are they going to wear up here? As it can’t be that or their home. Same with when they play Fulham.
  15. Next 24 hours are huge imo.
  16. Maybe, but that season was hit by an unprecedented injury crisis exacerbated by Tonali's ban. I'd like to think Howe, the squad and tbh the fans are now a bit more acclimatised to us regularly playing 3 high quality games a week. 23-24 was a first for many of those three. It's the striker issue that needs sorted regardless of the craic with Isak. This could end up being a brilliant window but failure to bring in Wilson's replacement could render it almost negligent.
  17. We've raised the floor of the squad; finally got a CB with youth on his side and pace. Replaced Longstaff with Ramsey. Replaced Almiron with Elanga who is also an upgrade on Murphy regardless of his numbers last season. Improved the GK department with Ramsdale. Whilst we haven't been able to get first choice striker targets, that wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the Isak saga. We'd be after a lesser player than that to solely replace Wilson, which I said.
  18. Gotten rid of much of the dead wood in the squad. If it wasn't for the surströmming botherer and we eventually get a striker in to replace Wilson we'd be having an unreal window.
  19. Spoke to an old uni housemate of mine who's a Chelsea fan, he really rates his link up and build up play. But his finishing is inconsistent at best and his dribbling ability is non-existent. Does think however that if he gets some decent coaching to polish up those weak spots in his game there's a good striker in there and that he'd fit us more than he does Marescaball. I'd take him at this point but as long as he's the Wilson replacement as opposed to Isak's.
