Was only young when that debacle happened, but I remember the side shot of Allardyce on the TV when it was 0-3 towards the end of the game and the fans next to the dugout shouting deserved dog's abuse at the fat cunt. Kinda shows how much Ashley has driven the fanbase into apathy in the past, the vitriol aimed at Allardyce and the atmosphere as a whole was utterly toxic, and the closest we've came to that is a dilute version in McClaren's final game v Bournemouth. Not the other Liverpool humiliations or mackem defeats.

But...but he's English and he knows Everton?
-
I'm probably against it. Would rather we did up SJP in terms of its interior and facilities and try and improve the atmosphere as it is. I think it can still get going when everyone's up for it. Atmosphere this season has been good and the Leeds and Barnsley games last season were class. A new ground in Leazes Park or somewhere quite close to the current SJP site I wouldn't be wholly against. The Metro Arena site would be the only real alternative. Then nah. A move would be shit. The fact that the ground dominates the skyline (to an extent) and it being in the city centre is renowned. Having that taken away would be shite.

Rarely ever see any bother home or away, so it’s surprising really. Good to see that there were only 1,600-odd football related arrests, considering how many attend every single week, that’s a very small minority. The reason why we're top is because of the amount of bans the club had to give to the morons in the aftermath of the April 2013 mackem defeat, the vast majority of whom didn't even attend the match got shitfaced in the pubs watching it.

All those people coming over, booking hotels, spending money in the city because the local football club is considered attractive. Awful stuff.

Merson's predicted us to lose. Lump on a win.

Cottee especially. Thinks WBA fans would be happy with Pardew. Here's something which typifies Cottee's football knowledge:

I'm desperate for PCP to takeover, but fuck that.
-
The club is utterly fucked if that's the case. The best time for Ashley to get out is now and surely he recognises this.
-
Yup. We also have no idea if the decision to accept or reject a bid is entirely down to MA himself. I doubt he's doing the negotiations himself, and I wonder if he's making decisions himself or taking advice from his advisors. If Ashley pulls the plug/forces PCP to pull out of a takeover due to being difficult to deal with and he takes the club off the market again then it'd be the most damaging thing he's done to the club in his tenure. It's absolutely pivotal that this happens.
-
Of course, nobody's going to buy the club unless they have free reign to negotiate various deals to increase revenue. The thought of SJP without that red and blue shite all over it, beautiful.
-
Will that £350m include the ridding of the ties between the club and the fat man's vile company?
-
Now that the takeover looks likely despite their clinging onto the HMRC case for dear life RTG has just resorted to replying to Newcastle fans on there with "go post on a mag board", "you're obsessed with here", "you're always on here".

Where McClaren peaked.
-
Watching this interview back, I noticed when she refers to growth it can be applied to the potential of NUFC. She/PCP obviously recognise it and want to tap it.
-
Oh dear, Liverpool.
-
Yeah he's quality, needs to pick his next move wisely. Destroyed Anita against us last year Him and Cairney were sublime that day. Took us apart.
-
Hopefully they go bust and stop existing.

What a w*****. First we find out Piers Morgan is a sex offender and now Haydn is a liar. What next? Hads on, Haydn's a liar. And also I learnt earlier on that buyers are liars. Could it be? Yes. I'm buying the club.
-
What a w*****. Repugnant.

I was wrong then.
