That's from years ago yet still makes me laugh everytime I see it.

If we sign a decent striker, I'm going to say 13th. Never in any real trouble throughout the season. Start well as we have good fixtures August-November, tail off in December, and then just consolidate rest of the season with some home wins and points away at the s****.

Unfortunately I never got to see his team play, but I met him at the Aston Martin garage up near Beamish. I was only a really young bairn but I remember how nice of a man he was. So privileged to have met him.

Remember Arsenal fans not being happy about the way Perez was treat, like someone posted before, he scored a hattrick in the CL and was dropped the next game, and was never really given a chance. I certainly wouldn't be against going for him, or any of these La Liga players we've been linked with (Vazquez & Correa) who I would love to get but I can't see happening. Lucas Perez I can though.

I think so, going by the website. No clue when the deadline is, mind. Finally caved in to paying the train fares? Nothing showing as available to purchase on the website when logged in now. Not sure whether a bug or not on sale. Deadline may have passed, then. Last time I was on the option to buy a ST was still there, so, I've no clue.

I remember Perez missing a hatful of chances against QPR (h). Think it was onwards from that game he was decent. Your point still stands, like.

Only bother I've had with the box office is when I bought 2 tickets for the Preston cup game back in October and one arrived 1 week before the other. Never heard of owt like that.

A part of me is thinking they really could go down again. The signings they've made are shocking, a League One striker and Lewis Grabban up front, players who clearly don't want to be there, a midtable at best manager, an owner who wants out and currently a really negative atmosphere amongst the fanbase. They've also got a really difficult start; Derby (h), Norwich (a), Sheff Wed (a), Leeds (h). They start badly and the fans will turn on Grayson if he can't arrest a poor start and going by what they're saying on RTG, some of them are underestimating some of the teams imo. Organised teams like Fulham, Norwich et cetera would take them apart as of now.

I voted more than 20 in the current poll.

Likewise, I'd rather we looked at strikers but as I posted on the previous page, I certainly wouldn't be against getting this guy because, well, he looks absolutely mint.
-
Never even heard of him until now but if we pulled this off I'd be giddy as f***.

Just youtubing him and he's utterly ridiculous. We'll never get him. "Loocas Vathqueth." Did Rafa work with him when he was at Real or has he only came into the first team since Zidane took over? And do we need another winger? I'd rather we looked at strikers, but I certainly wouldn't be against getting this guy.

He any good?

I don't think we'll go down either. It's going to be a big test for us though, so hopefully the atmosphere at home is far better than it was last year. I love SJP when our back's against the wall, the 2-2 vs Liverpool where Yanga-Mbiwa was sent off and the games against Chelsea spring to mind.

I know Rafa loves the 4-2-3-1 but for a formation with two holding midfielders it offers hardly any cover in front of the back 4. I hate the f***ing system, it's awful. Obviously it'll be better with better players but i'm never going to really like it. Agreed, I f***ing hate 4-2-3-1. It's too rigid and predictable, for us anyway. I think it just suffocates attacking play at times, and for a fairly rigid defensive formation it's awful in CM at defending, well when we use it. I always think it's a formation for managers who never really want their team to cut loose. I think it will only look properly effective when you have some genuine pace up front. That showed last season, we looked so much better with far superior shape with Gayle up front than Mitro or Murphy.
