  1. Newcastle United transfer rumours Started by nobody. LOL
  2. I've got no doubt if we had won 11 titles over 2 decades, then waited over 30 years for the next, the reaction would be the same. The TV studios would be filled with ex Newcastle players, just the same.
  3. Woo. A top 6 hand-me-down and a relegated striker who's record isn't great and he's already injury prone (in the hands of Steve 'Shipman' Bruce). Fucking hell I wish this version of NUFC nothing but ill will. Takeover dragged me back in but I need to get back out asap. This is toxic. Doesn't sound like either Fraser or Wilson are that arsed about coming here, which pretty much sums up the rotten state of the club under the current tenure. They aren't even A-list players, but tbf, one look at Bruce in charge would make you think maybe you can do a bit better than NUFC in their position. You can probably count the worse clubs in the Premier on one hand. Even with two fingers chopped off. Even if you chopped two arms off.
  4. Sorry. Relaxed. Not cancelled. I think it's still being discussed.
  5. Hasn't it been cancelled for this season?
  6. Aye. Keep it in the air so it doesn't distract them from their phones.
  7. Why do you keep ignoring we have heard from PIF already? They're out. They were funding 80% of it. Of all the parties involved that's a pretty fucking big one to get that statement from. And if everything else reported or commented on is BS, that means we ignore all the shite being spouted about how it's now being handled 'behind closed doors'.. right? Weren't they also funding Staveley's 10%, as her payment?
  8. Honestly our current team would struggle to get out of the championship. This year they at least get to struggle to stay out of it. We'd struggle to survive the championship.
  9. That will go straight over the sheep's heads! Thick as f*ck they are! They've sold all their shares so they can pay the PL's bribe.
  10. The private assurances were therefore given before the list of directors was submitted. It would be naive to assume that the list wasn't discussed in acquiring those private assurances. And it appears as if the list was the problem. So did the list change between the time that private assurances were given, and the time the list was submitted?
  11. What exactly did GC say, because the way you've worded your post suggests he's already leaked that there's something going on. Caulkin has said this week, since pulling out all parties reaffirmed their commitment to deal, however the next we should hear is whether deal is off or completed. So whether you believe the deal is likely or not, what is pretty clear is that they are still looking at ways to make this happen. I don’t think we’ll be receiving any running commentary this time, as if Saudis are still involved they won’t want to lose any face if this falls flat again. I would guess PCP are exploring the options open and if there’s a possible route to approval with discreet nods and winks given, the Saudis will come back on board. What has he had to say about his source telling him "no red flags", "done in the next few days", and other things that utterly failed to happen? Hi Sean, he's written about it in this (and a subsequent article) on the 30th July: https://theathletic.com/1963663/2020/07/30/newcastle-united-takeover-withdraw-staveley-ashley-pif-premier-league/ I'm sure you've read it in your detailed and unbiased quest for the truth, but to summarise, multiple sources from the consortium claimed: "The Premier League gave them “private assurances” before the deal was signed and again in mid-April that “approval would be forthcoming soon” before the mood music changed in June" Mr Masters then confirmed himself 2 weeks later that: "In June, the Premier League board made a clear determination as to which entities it believed would have control over the club following the proposed acquisition, in accordance with the Premier League rules" So only In June did they confirm which entities were to be included. Seems a long time after the tests started no? Either way, since the PL don't refer to any private assurances before or at the beginning of the process, you'll have to decide yourself whether to believe those multiple sources. Happy to help with your question The private assurances were given before the deal was signed? That tells us all we need to know.
  12. Fantastic. Now we just need to find a serious buyer who will pay Mike £330m in this age of the pandemic that isn't backed by an arab country. Abu Dhabi excepted of course, they are bringing Messi to Manchester and have revitalised the city to their credit. I don’t think that’s as unrealistic as some assume. Roma just got sold, and it looks like Tottenham might be in the process of being sold. In fact, disaster capitalism says this is a good time to buy - and Ashley has shown himself as a believer, given his purchases of failing retail franchises... Doesn't that mean it's a bad time to sell? The only realistic option, as I see it, is the same as it ever was. Somebody gets the club, on the cheap, in return for Ashley maintaining a tight grip on the profitable aspects, and the brand association.
  13. Fantastic. Now we just need to find a serious buyer who will pay Mike £330m in this age of the pandemic that isn't backed by an arab country. Abu Dhabi excepted of course, they are bringing Messi to Manchester and have revitalised the city to their credit. Hey, don't shoot the messenger just because you don't like the message. Nah, to be honest the price he desires could change. He's been known to slash 90% off dunlop Green Flash, when he's desperate to get rid.
  14. Injured and couldn't run, i know I'll go take that thrown in 70 yards up the line.....fucking divvy him. He tried to win the game, can't really blame him for that. I can't actually remember what happened next. Did he throw the ball straight to an Arsenal player?
  15. Can he stay fit for a full season?
  16. Exactly this. We are just cannon fodder for the top six. We are. But suggesting the PL are opposed to a top 7, is a bit mental. I can certainly get on board with the top 6 being opposed, but not the PL.
  17. I'm not aware of all the intricacies, but how does the Saudi bid for ownership differ from Man City's takeover which was heralded by the football world, and given a red carpet welcome by the PL? Maybe they didn't withhold any names from the list to be tested.
  18. 92/93. Keegan signing two mackems was controversial, but the man had balls of steel.
  19. Not sure if it was the same time [i'm sure it was] but I seem to remember Gouffran getting picked, ahead of him, in CM. That's a travesty. He had to leave the club if he wanted to develop. We've had a lot of talented youngsters that we'll never know how good they could have been, because we Pardewed them.
