    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Vlahovic is on ridiculous money at Juve, so I think we all know where that one can be filed…

He’s still basically ‘cheif scout’. Mitchell being around probably takes away the need to use his name to fill column inches though.

If I was being kind I’d call those amounts ‘optimistic’. If I was being less kind, I’d call them mental.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Summer window SLAMMING shut at 7pm rather than 11pm on deadline day now.
  5. If people had a choice of a last day fixture between Everton at home or Man Utd away, surely you would choose Everton at home, despite everything around Man Utd. Find it baffling that people assume this is a GUARANTEED three points for Villa, yet we’ve got a tricky fixture that we could slip up in. FWIW, I’ve long been comfortable with our final fixture in the belief that Everton’s season effectively ends the week before with the last game at Goodison.
  6. I’m sure plenty of people saw the graphic put up on Sky yesterday showing the combined points totals over the last three seasons. We were 4th behind Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool. So he’s basically had two-thirds of a season with a team that were in the relegation zone, and then made them a CL league standard team over a consistent period of time. It’s an incredible achievement.

Haven’t seen anything of their game against Palace, but just looking at the raw stats, they got absolutely annihilated. Appreciate the significant external factors at play, and the fact that the lineup in the final will bear little resemblance to the one put out yesterday, but feels to me like Man Utd would have to be really, really poor to get turned over by them at this moment in time.
  8. Which ones are your Pot 4 teams?
  9. Confused as I thought Man City were GUARANTEED three points today?

Aye, but their younger players are their best players. £50m isn’t much if you’ve basically got to build a new team.

It’s actually Bristol City who had the best record over the last 10 games. But Sheff Utd are far and away the best team of the four. If it wasn’t for the points deduction they’d of got 92 points. Can’t be many seasons that hasn’t got you up.

What do you do if they score? Appreciate that won’t have been an issue if you’ve been there recently.
  14. Feel like Man City away and Liverpool away is usually about 20% of our seasonal goal concession regardless.
  15. But not them that done that monstrosity for Leeds
  16. Not really that arsed (as long as they don’t make a pig’s ear of it obv). As has been said, it’s been changed multiple times before.
  17. You also can’t just kick fuck out of people the way you used to be able to.

I’d suggest the main thing that says he is, is his ability.
  19. Have you got a link to this specific rule? Assume the same would apply to Arsenal if they’re in Pot 2? edit - found it, although I’m not sure how clear this actually makes things?
  20. Tbh, I think coefficients are less important in the new version. Having a low coefficient previously would seemingly inevitably lead to getting a group that was very difficult to qualify out of. Now, whilst you still likely get two (maybe three) very difficult games, you also likely get 2-4 (at least) that are eminently winnable, so you probably have a better chance of qualifying regardless of how low your coefficient is.
