  1. I’d have no real issue with drawing Forest like, even away. We seem to match-up far better against them than Bournemouth, Brighton and even Fulham.
  2. I think it’s because it’s about the only free week they’ve both got due to CL, whereas us and Palace will a few spare weeks after the final.
  3. Aye it’s on ITV as well. Not sure who they’ll have on comms like? McCoist would be most people’s choice I guess.
  4. I know what you mean, but I’m not sure you can do anything but play your absolute strongest team when you’re playing Real Madrid in a knockout CL game.
  5. That is unquestionably a ‘sleep for 7 hours’ if you can trip.
  6. Don Scurr says ‘minor thigh injury’.
  7. Would be nice extremely confident if this was at home. They’ve looked massively brittle away. They have looked a fair bit better at home mind. Nowhere near what they were, but still pretty good. Could do with a really draining game against Madrid during the week, with some form of controversy that gets a lot of attention.
  8. Those type of contracts just don’t exist at the top level. You might be be able to get a little bit of wage differential based on fitness, but I’m not sure Wilson, or any other PL-level player would sign that, given they’d nearly always have other options.
  9. He could have done, but given Wilson’s goal I would assume nothing…

Nice finish from a controversial quick free kick.
  11. But would that have to include the teams winning the CL and EL being outside the PL top 5? i.e if Liverpool were to win the PL and CL, I don’t think 6th gets a CL place does it?
  12. Yes, I see now. You could argue they count as a ‘big’ team, but not a ‘top’ team.
  13. Depends on your definition of a top team? Spurs finished 11th in 98/99, and 9th in 75/76. We’ve never beat a team as highly placed in the league as Arsenal* *haven’t checked pre-76 like, so possibly did in the 50’s or prior. edit - re-read your point, and could have just posted ‘agreed’.

  15. Anything where the bookmaker can’t definitively control the outcome. Great if you’ve managed to win a bit on the slots, but ultimately the bookmaker is 100% in control of how much gets paid out on slots/games, so if you play over a sustained period, it’s almost impossible to be in profit (bar maybe having an extremely large win). In sports betting, they can control the odds they offer but never the outcome. If you can be disciplined enough (combined with a degree of relevant knowledge and usually plenty of spare time) to only bet when you think the odds offered are too high, you will see profit over the long term. And that’s what they don’t like, and where they will look to shut you down.
  16. Even the most deluded of fans have to accept a 4-0 defeat over two games is fairly comprehensive. Especially when there wasn’t a controversial decision across both games (bar possibly the Isak offside).
  17. That bus home will be the best/worst trip of your life…
  18. Agreed, I honestly don’t think it will be based on cup attendance for members as that’s patently unfair. If they do any kind of criteria for members, it can only be based on ballot applications rather than attendance.
  19. That’s not something I’ll ever be able to get on board with.
