  1. A win at Cardiff and you can pretty much guarantee Chelsea on a bank holiday Sunday will be.
  2. I don't think getting a few hundred fans to give up travelling and taking out £50 a month subscriptions instead is high on the objectives list for a company that shelled out £3.759bn in the last set of PL TV rights...
  3. I'd imagine they'd probably get round it via: Exceptions to the rules Premium rate numbers are still allowed for sales lines and pre-sales enquiries. However, the cost of calling such numbers must be clearly advertised wherever they are published. Paid-for services that aren't part of an existing contract – such as technical helplines or information lines – are still allowed to use premium rate numbers.
  4. Where does it say that? Can't see anything on the official PL site, which is normally the best for highlighting potential ludicrous scenarios such as that. Edit - the Burnley game potentially being moved I mean.

    Transfer rumours

Unfortunately you'll always have people/fans who will have swallowed his bullshit and think he's saved the club, sadly for them they'll never see the reality. Lot of good points being made but the amount of sheep within our support right now is just sad to be honest. I give up after over 40 year of being a season ticket holder because I was not going to have that fat cunt taking the piss out of me and the club a moment longer. My view if I can do it after the years of support I gave then anyone can. Twenty year ago something would have been done but not a chance nowadays. The club is at its worst stage since the McKeag days and even then he had an excuse not being loaded. Now this fat cunt is taking the piss out of the manager, the players and the support whist laughing his cock off and decimating the club. But will we see the support unite and really make the point hard, to the point and at every level- not a hope in hell. Everyone is making fantastic points and suggesting great things to get rid of him. You just know though as has been said, a hardcore will just think Ashley is right, as mental as that seems despite all the evidence to the contrary staring them in the face. I very much doubt there are many, if any, that think Ashley is in any way "right". Plenty will still attend/support, but they are doing in spite of Ashley, rather than in support of him.
  6. Said this for a while mate - it desperately needs a clean up but as you say, you just have to look at his sports hops to see how cares about how things look - fat wanker! The live picks for November are due out this week, aren't they? Tomorrow mate. October and November. Cheers pal! Speaking of away matches - on the new ticket website, you can't change what ticket you buy as it is set via the DOB - in the past, you could use a friend and family member and buy say a kids ticket off their number but now you can't. You can't change the delivery address of a ticket either, can you?
  7. Are we definitely getting new ones?
  8. He didn't take the hint when all hell let loose after Keegan left.....
  9. When was the last time (in this country anyway) any owner of a reasonably sized club, let's say the top two divisions, was 'hounded out'? It doesn't happen. Our fanbase is no different to anywhere else, in terms of being more or less proactive. You've had Glazer's making enourmous profit from Man Utd, Venky's relegating Blackburn to League One, Tan changing the strip and (attempting) name at Cardiff, all the crazies at Leeds. Nobody gets 'hounded out'.

How many times over could you buy Sunderland for the price of one Harry Kane?

    Kenedy

Reminds me of Joselu’s in the open training session last pre-season.....

    FIFA World Cup

Wonder if they stop the Championship as well? You would think they’ll have to given they stop it for international breaks now. Good luck fitting 46 games in...

    FIFA World Cup

Gonna be canny chilly in Times Square.....
  14. Be surprised if many of them are playing tbh. Lloris maybe. Looked like Trippier will be knackered for a while.
  15. I had this same issue and I had to create an email account for my son at the finish, the woman at the box office told me I need to learn how to use a computer properly because the new system is so easy to use. It's an abortion of a system like. I mean, yeah now I've figured out what to do it is relatively straightforward. However, i'd challenge anyone to work it out immediately, without a fair degree of faffing about. The two login thing is just massively confusing, at least to begin with.
  16. Anyone got any idea how you go about linking different accounts? Looks like i've lost all my friends and family links in the 'upgrade'? Edit: Eventually figured it out. The fact that there's now two places to log in is somewhat confusing....

    Sunderland

Are Sheff Utd going on like this about Walker and Maguire?
  18. I'm not denying it might well be going on, i'm just asking what's the point? I mean if it was something ridiculous, but perhaps just about believable, like, say Torres, for a random example, perhaps a (very) few might think 'wow we're getting Torres, i'll buy a season ticket'. But some bloke 95% of the wider fanbase have never heard of? Nah, I can't believe that story sells one extra season ticket.
  19. Is anyone actually going to base their decision on whether they get a season ticket on who we 'might' be buying though? I mean really? "See Sky are saying we're linked with a player I've never heard of for £27m, so that's me away to spunk £600-£700 on a season ticket". I can't believe stories like this genuinely influence anyone's thinking?

    Sunderland

I'd rather go to them than Old Trafford, The old WHL or West Hams soulless shithole. (in the cup I mean) It's fine going to these smaller places if you win. Going to Man Utd and getting humped you walk away thinking ' that was sh*te, but never mind'. They won't be thinking that if they lose at Rochdale. P*ssing on wall behind the burger van sharp loses it's magic if you've got beat.

So that Martin Bain character just blatantly lied when he claimed they weren’t paying any part of the wages of the players out on loan last season. Well who’d of though...

    On this day...

When he was at Leeds or Boro?
  23. Really can’t see that being a problem. Pre-season friendly on a Tuesday night at a reasonable sized ground.

    Sunderland

I'm probably going to regret asking this but - if they still have to pay back Ellis Short £40m, how are they "debt free"? If it's the fact that it's (presumably?) interest free, how is that any different to we owe Ashley?
  25. Same, though I am waiting on more calrity regarding Rafa’s situation. Tried to phone up this morning and I just got a recorded message saying I need to go to the website, the website has no information at all in fact it just says no upcoming events. Has Ashley shut the club and not told anyone ? Probably something to do with the roll out of the new ticketing part of the site: The new platform will allow fans to easily buy tickets from phones, tablets and desktop computers, but you’ll need to re-register for full access. There will be plenty of time to re-register ahead of season tickets, hospitality, match tickets and memberships going on sale for our 2018-19 season. Thank you for your support!
