I remember there being conflicting stories - brothers, cousins, uncle-nephew. What was the truth? BTW Siem De Jong scored again for the mighty Sydney FC on the weekend. When he's fit, he dominates (unsurprisingly). Actually got injured in the process of so though...

Thought you weren't allowed to loan more than one player from the same team? Or does that just apply to the PL? Suppose we've had two kids on loan at League One/Two teams before haven't we?
-
Aren't they struggling with FFP? In terms of creating resources to bring new players in? Haven't heard that, if that's the case then surely they'd be wanting to sell? Yeah, maybe. Although £4m is a canny loan fee, for half a season, if he's not in the team at present and they're after some quick cash, without actually getting rid of him.

Because sometimes, despite what some people would have you believe, we do actually sign people. Not enough of them, and often not of sufficient quality (or if they are, then not permanently), but it does happen.
-
Stop going then paully. Simple As I've said before, I'd hate to lose all of my loyalty points as I know fine well the sale would go through a few weeks later! It's bollocks how they're completely wiped if you don't renew! Quite simply this is selfish, you are putting your self interests ahead of the well being of the club. No other way of saying it. Easy to say when you're not the one giving them up....

2-0. Rondon double. Warnock to complain about everything.
-
I take the point, but it’s just impossible to risk Rondon. Everybody else (except Dummett as usual) there’s at least some (poor) degree of cover for. Imagine going through the rest of the season with Joselu up front... Edit - actually same applies to Dubravka
-
Agree in terms of his athletic dynamism, but he’s obviously got a seriously good engine, and can provide very good ‘legs’. Clearly you need plenty more than that at PL level, but he had at least showed a decent range of passing in the second half, and looking at his goals on loan to Blackpool, he has a canny dig on him too. Early days, but certainly a bit of promise.

Looks like Mulgrew will be out for them. Good for us given how much bother his set pieces caused.
-
That should keep a few away, I was thinking of going but not now , I simply don’t think we want to progress yet again. We actively want to get knocked out. It's pathetic. Blackburn are bankers to go through Seems rather strange we went to the trouble of getting a replay if that's the case...
-
It’s wrong to say he has no quality. Look at the assist at Watford and the one Joselu should have scored at Anfield in the first 5 mins. Both genuine quality. Would agree he can’t really dribble past anyone. However, in our current situation, a grafter with an occasional bit of quality (and a genuine desire to win) is about as good as we’re gonna get. Obviously if we were to have a change of ownership and some proper transfer funds you’d want an upgrade. Until that point he’s an integral part of our team.

Looking like a possible start for Sean Longstaff. 16/1 first scorer with 365...

Seems to have been a bit of a wild over-exaggeration in terms of that story... -
You think we’ll get “easily beaten” at home to a team 15th in the Championship who are likely to make just as many changes us? I know things feel a bit grim at the minute but howay man.
-
Questionable whether he'll be playing tbh. They'll most likely turn out as much of a reserve side as we do.
-
The main reason we are (currently) better away from home is that we have a squad of players who are better suited to hanging in with a certain game plan, and then trying to make the most of any opportunities they get. When they are asked to be on the front foot (yes, yes Pardewism), they struggle badly as they lack the quality to cut a teams open. Similar to why we have a terrible record of coming from behind. And, unfortunately, no support, good, bad or indifferent, can make much difference to that.
-
That’s bollocks really though isn’t it. Our home support is just the same as it has been for the last number of years, no better, no worse. The biggest problem we have by far, is that, by PL standards, our players aren’t very good.
-
They are. Although as mentioned further back, we've apparently asked for more. I’ve simply not got the points, never mind. If we get anywhere close to 5k it will almost certainly go down to 0 points, so I wouldn't worry in that regard.

To be honest, if that's true about the allocation eventually being 5k it'll end up going to 0 points/members.
-
that can't be true surely. It is! Just over 1700 remaining now. Looking like we'll sell those 5k if that's what we've really got. where are you seeing this info? When you log in to the ticket portal and you go to whichever (away) game you want tickets for, it tells you how many are remaining.

That's right. Not sure if there'll be scope for anymore once they sell out? Suspect the coppers/SAG would probably have had a say on it though.
