Tbf there’s probably not too much point in doing anything significant until they’ve decided what the overall plan is for expansion. Although if that is the case, no reason why they couldn’t have at least communicated it.

Yeah, you could argue it means his teammates provide him with a better quality of chance I suppose. But what I’m taking away from it is that despite scoring plenty, he’s not scoring loads of outrageous, low-xG goals, that would be hard to sustain. Looking back at Cisse’s first six months here, as amazing as it was, it was probably unrealistic to expect him to be able to sustain the kind of goals he was scoring (especially from left wing….). Not the case with Isak.

Saturday. For England anyway.

I hope we’re staying right out of it and just quietly making notes in the background.

The head of the Sunderland policing will be getting called a Mag on RTG in 5,4,3,2,1…

Completely made up probably a bit strong. A one-sided interpretation of the situation probably a closer description.
-
“Juventus are happily selling off most of their talented youngsters so they can give inflated contracts to veterans” sounds just a tad completely made up.

Looks like he knows a few Turkish medics so he’ll probably be sound.
-
Hope laughing his cock off typing that.

Aye, you’re right, but it’s equally reflective of the way the team as a whole has played home v away this season.
-
Ah, if that’s the case then they’ll do well to get more than 20/25 for him.
-
What’s that, about £34m. Probably the going rate for an established PL attacking player of that age.
-
I’ve always thought he would be a decent option at (presumably) a reasonable cost. Was very disappointed with him though when watching him live, and paying a bit more attention, last game of the season. Unfair to judge on one game like.

Doesn’t work like that though does it? They could be in the Conference North and they’d still be relevant to us. It might continue to be a long time until they are a genuine rival on the pitch, but they’ll always be there.
-
So really it’s of some benefit to CL teams, but more benefit to EL/ECL teams.
-
So am I interpreting this correctly? CL teams can still draw each other, just not teams in the EL/ECL? So Man City can still get Arsenal or Liverpool, but not Man Utd or Spurs?
-
Scored the winner at SJP against Man Utd, Arsenal and Man City.
-
Total waste of time for all involved. And yet still scored three times as many as Emmanuel Riviere.
-
OK, what’s the bigger picture? What should we do with the ~£150m from selling Barnes and Bruno?
-

Agree with the first sentence there. Dunno how we get there like.

I see your point from the pov of reducing the financial burden falling on the individual fan to maximise FFP revenue. But ultimately if Newcastle are charging the same ticket prices as Fulham (wherever the final revenue for each ticket comes from) then we’re just going to increase the gap in ticket revenue and move further away from them.
-
There you go. So ultimately, the likes of us and the other big teams just pull further away from the likes of Fulham.
-
Hmm, OK, I see the point that you’re trying to artificially level ticket income. But if Fulham only have a 30k capacity and we have 52k, if we can input further revenue for those additional seats, is that fair? Ultimately it probably just ends up being another vehicle for the big clubs to get further away from the smaller clubs.
