Surely the owners of Fulham (or whoever was the most expensive) would say it’s not fair that other owners are allowed to invest additionally and they aren’t?
-
Then what’s to Newcastle (or anyone) charging 10 grand a ticket and the owners putting in £9660, and massively inflating ticket revenue?
-
Hopefully it’s top 5 for CL next season. I know our teams generally fucked it in Europe this year, but we’ll start favourites to get one of the extra spots again next year.

The old ones are the best…. https://x.com/joshpearson180/status/1794820215693561894?s=46&t=OQLMckSuatbpqWF13Al4mQ

Garth Crooks probably had you winning the league by 15 points because he didn’t like the colour of Pep’s socks.
-
Not sure about that from what I seen…?
-
Yeah, I seen him play at Tynemouth last season and he’s pretty sharp. Also bats left handed which I found a bit random.
-
From the game where Liverpool lost the league at Goodison Park. Alright, one game in isolation doesn’t mean much, but this kind of skill set / type of performance could definitely add something to us.
-
No, but the fact that his most recent season shows a good level of availability is more comforting.
-
Playing 38 games last season is quite a lot for a “walking sick note”.
-
It is a poor return, but Everton have been dog shit for those seasons. The previous two seasons, when they were better, with a far better squad, he had 29 in 62 starts.
-
2390. Isak played 2642 Wilson played 1370
-
AEK Athen’s new stadium looks pretty cool
-
Managed one in two the last time had Everton had a half decent squad.
-
His goal return this season is a concern (but then it was for Isak’s previous season before signing) however they are one of, if not the, most negative team in the league. His record was much, much better under Ancelotti, when obviously he was surrounded by better players than now.
-
He obviously wasn’t plagued by injuries this season just gone.
-
I’d be very happy with that. Seems a fair price given his contract situation.
-
As I’ve said I understand the concern around DCL’s injuries, even if his appearance record this season was pretty decent. However, I don’t understand people thinking he’s shite. It wasn’t that long ago he was (rightly) considered next in line for England after Kane. Alright, the injuries in 21/22 and 22/23 have pissed on that bonfire, but I definitely feel Eddie can get him back towards that level which would make him a valuable asset, especially so Isak doesn’t have to spend the last 20 mins of every game running on fumes.
-
I’m sure Southampton have been contributing a reasonable chunk of that.
-
Not sure Dyche would be a fan of his kicking given Everton’s main offensive threat is often Pickford launching 60 yard balls to DCL/Onana/Doucoure.
-
Yeah, I’m sure he wouldn’t claim to know loads, but he’ll know people that know people…

@Shadow Puppets has said the Pope camp are half expecting it.
-
Why would they not? If anything it would probably encourage them to spend. ‘Let’s make sure we attract the quality players we want now before we’re playing Sunderland in League One in 25/26’.
