He was crap second half but so was the vast majority of the team . He was also fine first half in a role that everyone and their dog acknowledges isn't his best. We've a long tradition as a support of slating our top players when they have a bad game or two seen it so many times over the years whilst far shitter players are given cult hero status. He was a long way from his best and he's had some iffy games here and there but he's absolutely one of the best midfielders in this league.

Has Longstaff ever played to the level Bruno has ?

He's been a cracking player since he's been here and has been a foundation stone of Eddie's Newcastle from the side that avoided relegation to the side that got in the Champions League to the side that's fighting this season for top four and is in a cup final. There's been several games this season where he's been brilliant. All players have drops in form or spells of games where they're not at their best and every player does have his price but he's way down the list of players we should be looking to move on.

He was ok. Not great but ok. Changed his position to be slightly deeper again. The midfield worked pretty well first half but they all really struggled second half. If Tonai hadn't come on for Willock I think we may have drawn that.

Not his best game but certainly wasn't abysmal .

We're a team with some parts of it functioning brilliantly and some barely functioning at all. At centre back both today were really struggling , Pope's shot mentally and it's increasingly looking that initial period of brilliance after he first joined was a form spell. In midfield if the ref's letting stuff go and we haven't got Joelinton we really struggle with the muck and bullets aspects of the game. Livramento needs to be educated on how to defend. That being said Gordon, Hall, Isak, Miley, Tonali and Willock in attacking phases did well. We need a rebuild. We've needed too since last summer. If we can get a trophy or Champions League this season it's a huge credit to the better parts of the side and the manager. If we somehow get both they should give Eddie a statue.

Two things this half . It's almost like we've declared here. They've also put Gibbs White on Bruno to stop us so we just need to adapt a little and we can push on again.

Early first half I said Bruno as the deepest midfielder wasn't working (it wasn't at the time) but I once we got going he's linked it lovely and some lovely little switches with Miley and feeding Willock to run it up the park

Miley's read and first touch are frightening considering how little top level football he's played. Being hyper critical and he can't help it the only real flaw in his game is he's a bit one paced.

He's great at the the throw outs and reads it well from an attacking point of view. His kicking defensively couldn't be much worse if he was blindfolded

If he's fit ,the three for Liverpool has to be Bruno ,Miley Tonali
