If a local lad can add a few high points to what is likely to be a largely horrific season, then it’s done the job. Don’t have a huge amount of shame in saying it’s the only signing this summer to have raised a smile for me.

Someone said it in another thread, but people just don’t really care that much. They like their weekends on the piss with the lads, and the match is part of that. Not every season ticket holder lives and breathes NUFC.

I think people just need to accept that not everyone is going to walk away. I have, but I don't feel as if I need to take it on myself to judge or insult those that haven't. They'll have their reasons, however flimsy.
