I think the thing I am looking forward to most... it's not big money signings, new managers or new training grounds. It's the years of optimism ahead of us that I can share with my kids. They have been to two friendlies... they loved the experience, but I never wanted to take them to a competitive game. It just wasn't competitive or enjoyable. Now, my 6 year old and 4 year old can share in their Dad's passion and feel proud that we will actually be trying to become bigger and better. That's all I want. A club that tries to improve year on year, and to share that passion and experience with my family.

In defence of Nicki Minaj’s outbursts on Twitter, the swollen bollocks thing is true like. No idea if it leads to impotence, but I have two friends that had that symptom after Pfizer. Obviously her other tweets appear a bit nuts, but that part is true ?

Why so obvious? It’s pretty easy to understand each of those subs. They were perhaps a little late but they were the right moves.

Tough one to take, but very proud of Southgate and the lads for the tournament they had. Ultimately I think Italy outclassed us for most of the game...it’s as simple as that. I don’t believe it was anyone’s fault in particular. We just came up against an extremely good team. Southgate may have made one or two questionable decisions today, but he’s been pretty much bang on with everything else this tournament so it’s hard to criticise. Feel for the lads that missed the penalties but it’s just the luck of the draw. Onwards and upwards.

The PL are clearly, whether fairly or not, not comfortable with Saudi Arabia being involved in the EPL. And that's completely understandable. There are just far too many issues there. Whether what they are doing is legally sound though, I don't know.

Probably the wrong thread for it, but I must admit, after being excited by the takeover initially, I’m now firmly in the camp where I’d much prefer alternative buyers to come in. There’s just too many moral issues for me to ever feel fully comfortable with it.

It is in the current century. How? It’s incredibly debatable that is was even in the box, Wilson clearly dived into the box. I think that’s the most ludicrous decision I’ve seen VAR make this season. I guess you could possibly argue it was a second yellow though.
