Is this a guess or do you know it for sure? For sure Maybe it's already approved then, and just waiting on funds to transfer? Once the PL have done that approval, Saudi Arabia could pull this kind of stunt and whilst the PL might be sat there facepalming back at PL HQ, it's too late. It's possible the Saudis have just been sat waiting for approval from the PL for the takeover to do this to BeIN. Fucking hell, I think I've just been optimistic about this. No, it hasn’t already been approved. They just don’t see today’s news as an issue. There’s definitely been several sources telling the journos in the last 48 hours that approval is coming any day now, but they are understandably reluctant to print anything because we’ve been here before.

Yeah, the local journos have been briefed by the buyers this afternoon that the news today will not affect the approval of the deal in any way. They’re either incredibly confident of it happening regardless or they’re blissfully unaware of how unhinged it looks from the outside.

Interesting that BZG pulled out because they felt it was an insult to have to pay a non-refundable deposit to Ashley, along with a number of other insults they felt Ashley dealt them. Also, rumours that the new owners have already bought the freehold for SJP. (Some leaks from the city council) And that PIF/PCP etc had been told around June 1st by the PL that they were going to pass the takeover but on the proviso that they make efforts to sort the piracy. PIF apparently felt that this meant the deal was done. Well worth a listen, whatever you think of Wraith and Mitch. Agree completely I have no problem with the dentist, he openly admits he’s a gobshite and Hastie comes across as very genuine bloke. Found it very interesting that as recent as January they were meeting with midhat, and sheik khaled was at 65% about getting involved in another attempt to buy club. Also if BZG had taken over we would have become the club of Dubai, with even more prominent people involved, I'm assuming they were suggesting the Maktoum’s. It's not the PL's job to do what is best for NUFC fans. It's NUFC's job to do that. It's not the PL's fault that we've been left to rot. That's completely on Ashley. Why do the premier league have fan relation officers then, they do have some duty of care when it comes to fans. Unfortunately in this case they clearly don’t give 2 shits. The fans are not. The PL do communicate with the club... that has been confirmed. If you want to be angry at anyone, be angry at the club for being completely silent throughout it all. So you're saying the club aren't communicating with the manager, given he's asking for clarity? I'm 100% certain that the club are communicating with Steve Bruce. What we heard from him yesterday was likely at the instruction of the club to try to publicly hurry the PL. But of course he'll know as much as Charnley allows him to know.

You guys are actually hilarious, acting like you have any idea whatsoever about how delicate the whole situation and implications are for the PL. They are, of course, going to take however long they need to make it completely watertight. They don't owe us anything. They have intellectual property to protect, the well being of all of the PL clubs, and the image/standing of the league throughout the world to consider. I doubt they give two fucks, nor should they, about NUFC fans or Steve Bruce being impatient.

Don’t think that’s true tbh. Fernandez, Dubravka, Hayden, Manquillo, Shelvey, Lascelles, Ritchie... all here last season, all have arguably had better seasons this year. Agree with Hayden and Shelvey. The rest, nah.
