I disagree. Tory posh boy for sure, but clearly very knowledgable on running businesses and getting businesses out of trouble, and speaking a delivering his message clearly. Maybe because I’ve worked in a few environments with a bunch of whinging, offer-nothing people, I have sympathy with him for the workforce he inherited. To me he appeared to be used to working with dynamic forward thinking business people, and was met by nod-along morons (apart from a few who seemed decent). I am with ManDoon on this one. Methven is all confidence and privilege with no knowledge or intelligence to back it up. I have worked with his like and it leads to failure and collapse of morale among staff. For Triggs - Also the hot Irish lass was not terrible at her job. She seemed to be the only free thinker in the bunch. What? Because she didn't like getting him coffee? I’m sorry like, but what a bunch of shit. The Irish lass is exactly the kind of do-nothing “rebel” who should be out of the door of any business as soon as possible. “Free thinker” ? She was the definition of somebody who was in a cushy job and didn’t want to be actually told to achieve something. Pathetic.

They didn’t have the money to take over that club though, they came across as sincere in the documentary but essentially they are gamblers. I thought that story had been rubbished / played down? Either way, I did find them both very sincere and appeared on the surface at least to hold the club’s best interests at heart. I don't even mean that story, a generous estimate of Donald Stewart's wealth would have been around £8m. The club was losing far more than that per year and they seemed to be looking for investors almost immediately after buying the club. No doubt. In theory though there’s nothing wrong with that approach. But the club is literally hemoraghing money and the lack of immediate promotion has basically fucked that plan completely. Small time for sure. Heart in the right place I would say though.

Just finished series 2 of Sunderland Til I Die. Dunno, I quite like Methven. He’s clearly got good understanding of running businesses and has been up against some fucking laughable practices from previous regimes. He’s a bit cringe, but hearts in the right place I think. I actually don’t mind Stewart Donald either (although he’s the definition of small time)... I think neither of them really expected the level shithousery they were walking into.

So what. What has that got to do with Nufc and football? Jesus man, go fight her honour somewhere else! Don’t blame ManDoon for that ?... he’s replying to something I posted last night (a thread from someone who appeared knowledgable on the motives of Khashogji’s widow) but I pretty much immediately deleted it after realising it was bullshit. Didn’t think anyone would have had time to see / read it.

2, every day of the week.

I reckon we're about as close to mid-May as it's possible to be Bein put us back a few days. Give it until the 20th. You have way too much confidence in your source. I couldn't be happier if this comment comes back to bite me on the arse but unless someone here is talking to the head of the PL, no one knows anything. I think it's been pretty clear for a couple of weeks that RS is on the wind up, no?

Deciding on the top 3 going up without deciding on League 1's future is a bit strange?

? Have you ever had to organise anything remotely complicated? I'm pretty sure nobody's sat twiddling there thumbs like. It will be a huge undertaking to get it up and running again, in a safe way. are the spanish & german fa's still fucking about negotiating with clubs about neutral venues and shit? are they fuck hate the way people try to defend the shitshow that is this country in 2020 like, it's an absolute circus on every conceivable level I agree with your general point regarding the shitshow that is our government, but the PL have a hell of a lot on their plates with this... huge amounts of money at risk... many ulterior motives from clubs... players health at risk... the potential for lawsuits etc etc, and they have to come up with a plan that satisfies everyone (including other leagues below). It's anything but an easy thing to do. I don't envy them. I don't know details of Germany and Spain so can't comment, though I do know their TV revenue is MUCH lower, so that will almost certainly be part of the reason they've come to quicker conclusions.

If I didn't despise our current owner so much, I wouldn't want this to happen tbh. I'm quite uncomfortable with it. I'm very confortable with it as it happens. If someone wants to carry on with mike then that's their own decision but opinions shouldn't be forced on to others. After all this is a football forum and not a human rights forum or mumsnet. What does that even mean? Self explanatory isn't it? Who is forcing their opinion on you? Did you bother to read the open letter? "Forcing your opinion" = Woman who's husband was allegedly brutally murdered by our prospective new owners. I think she's well within her rights to be pissed off about that and shout it far and wide, whether you want to hear it or not.

I didn't say I didn't want it. I said I could understand the reasoning if it didn't happen. " it would be pretty easy to accept if it was blocked. There's a lot not to like and it's hard to argue with anyone saying it should be blocked. " That sort of sounds like you don't want the deal to go through ... which is a point of view you're entitled to have btw I also said that I want it to happen from a footballing point of view. I do want it to happen. It's just pretty hard to argue with if for some reason it doesn't go through.
