  1. No way should we be selling him imo, he's at present our best attacking player. Going from Wilson, Isak, Barnes and Gordon as forward options to Woltemade, Osula, Wissa and Elanga is a catastrophic situation for a club wanting to progress.
  2. Just a reminder that in Woltemade's first interview here he was asked who his favourite player is - and of all the glorious names he could have mentioned, his answer was Kai Havertz. Reason enough to sell the shit cunt.
  3. Surely he has to start Sean Neave, Seung-soo and Elias Sorensen today?
  4. The most shocking thing about the Southampton situation is that they deemed it necessary to spy on this Boro team. They're shite.
  5. Can see him managing either England or Brazil in the future.
  6. You reckon? I think he's been disappointing, I expected him to light it up and become the main man for Arsenal this season, but outside of that Spurs game (which is somewhat caveated for obvious reasons) he's been unremarkable imo. I may have missed some good performances mind, I haven't exactly been inspired to watch too many Arsenal games this season
  7. Neither Eze or Madueke have performed all that well this season. Gibbs-White and Bowen over those two easily imo.
  8. I'd possibly see your point if O'Reilly was defensively superior. He is really shaky, as attested to by many City fans throughout this season who were desperate to see him moved to midfield for large parts. Hall is imperfect defensively but he's more assured than O'Reilly. I'd have them both there, along with Reece James & Livramento. TAA can't be relied upon.
  9. Must be missing something with Lewis-Skelly, as I don't think he's particularly close to Hall's level from what I've seen. I must be wrong. Feel for Hall like, he's almost a complete player and some of his performances this season have been genuinely outstanding. He's really improved defensively this season and his ball carrying ability and press resistance is as good as you will see anywhere in world football in his position. Gibbs-White missing out (if true) is a poor decision too, he's a match winner.
  10. True, Bilbao, PSV, Benfica, Union & Qarabag were utter dross and didn't pose us a single threat. It's not a good reflection on the state of the game tbh.
  11. Just for context, this was the run of finals between 11/12 and 19/20
  12. He is, but he could have handed over management to Gabby Agbonlahor tonight and Villa would have cruised it
  13. Perhaps, but the weight a trophy possesses is in large part defined by the opposition required to overcome to win it. The best team Villa have faced all the way through is Nottingham Forest. It's hardly soaked in glory in the way that any meaningful trophy is. To win the league cup for instance, you're likely having to beat 2 of the best sides in the world.
  14. Nor should it, I'm not saying it out of bitterness, just the facts of what the competition has become unfortunately. I used to love the UEFA Cup/Europa League pre format change. It had such an allure and it was a dream to see us win it one day. Not anymore. I'd celebrate it but it would feel hollow.
  15. It's not the same competition anymore though. It's the Papa Johns UEFA Cup these days.
  16. The Europa League is dross these days. The disparity between the PL sides and the rest is enormous.
  17. You're playing a mid table Bundesliga team, I think you will be alright.
  18. Or Spurs to draw and West Ham to win by about 13-0 which is where my money is.
  19. Brick by brick. Get that fat fucker Wissa to do it over the summer as his weight loss regimen.
  20. I don't think it's much of a controversial take tbh He's got way more to his game now he's been given a run of games to show the work he's been putting in these last few years. He's 2 years or so younger too.
  21. Would be disappointed to see him sold, he's a better player than Woltemade imo and has more developmental potential too. He's perhaps even ahead of Wissa too, although I do believe there's more to come from him. Hope we keep him.
