I like Jose a lot, and said years ago I expect he'll manage us at some point - but my preference is without doubt Rafa.

Still Ramadan init? Probably wouldn't have food & drink on the table in daylight hours. Likely an old picture imo.

Wonderful.

When he is fit he is probably the best striker in the world. Pochettino made a mistake playing him. He isn't Who do you think is? Aguero is better, for one. Kane is up there, but he's not the best by any clear margin. Fwiw I don't think there's a single standout striker in the game at the moment, wingers/inside forwards are dominant.

Hard lines leffe186[/member] - better team on the night, unfortunately not to be on this occasion. "It's better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low... even failure will have in it an echo of glory".

Doubt Liverpool fans much care. All history will remember is the win. Yeah, it'll be Rome, Istanbul etc. and "oh yeah, Madrid too". A statistic all the same, but will not yield any emotional significance in its recollection - which imo is what makes these occasions special and is the reason Istanbul is still to this day worth talking about. This as a game serves basically to add a +1 on a record. They won't care, I wouldn't either, but it certainly lacks a certain aura and magnitude.

The magnitude of winning the CL seems to undergo a monstrous act of reductionism after such a dire game. That was terrible, a total non-starter. Won't remember a single event from that game.

That’ll be like a red rag to a Gallowgate End that post. Someone photoshop Eddie Howe onto it Haaaaaaa http://i66.tinypic.com/258342r.jpg

Not too bothered with who wins this. I really like both managers, Pochettino in particular. And both teams have some top quality, very likeable players. Good to see both sides in the final. My personal preference would always be two teams from different countries, however Spurs & Liverpool deserve it.

Busy blowin' Dixie double-four time. Don't think he minds if he doesn't make the scene tbh. Stepped inside but didn't see too many faces. Daint fucking blame him. Who's Sultan?

Just came on to post this. Its from the same fake batch that Dummett was supposed to have given that lad. Off centered badges, terrible fit, sponsor printed into material etc. Just a knockoff nigel based on the initial leaks. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/newcastle-united-shirt-large/123785637000?hash=item1cd232ec88:g:HbsAAOSw7fdc7pua E X C L U S I V E $ H I T NUFC x Puma x Supreme [000001/000001]

If Midds decides we're allowed to discuss it . Strange thing, a forum moderator, not encouraging discussion tbh. If people are being annoying dickheads then tell them over PM rather than punish everyone. Wasn't even going to lock it originally tbh. It's still a dreadful thread though. I regret nothing. I used to really enjoy reading it until I realised my inability to decipher anything that's being said is not in fact down to my own shortcomings but is instead due the fact none what's being written makes any sense

Twitter this, Chronicle that. Nothing of note. Which is not a bad thing, imo. Eh I’d say their statement was quite significant like Silly me, feels like yesterday with the sheer volume of stories about this.

Was going to be doing quarters for 55 but Sarri's got him doing tab runs abroad now his job's safe.

Hazard has been better for a longer period of time - being one of the star players consistently in some very good & successful Chelsea sides. However Bale in his last season for Spurs reached extremely high levels of quality - arguably more impressive in that one season than Hazard has been in any of his. That said, Hazard for me - but it's very, very close.

Not really. Baku is a stunning & safe enough city to play host to the event - and also a nice change from the norm. The main problem with this final is that, thus far the two teams have served up the absolute antithesis of what a final should look like. There's a lot more fitting aspects in football to highlight the questionable ethics of the game in its current state than than this match imo. One of the worst posts in history of NO that. sure

Bit mad for Sarri that he was thought of so highly in Italy despite not winning any silverware, comes to England and wins a European competition in his first year yet is largely met with contempt and disapproval. Does it show a radical difference in perception of what's valuable in football between the two nations, or is it more to do with the mentality & expectations of the Chelsea supporters?

I'm still waiting for it to begin...

Pyongyang would be a canny change from the norm too. Incomparable to Baku though. A fine place.
