Sean Longstaff (now playing for Leeds United)

Always has been pathetic, from the reaction to Lascelles' initial statements till now. A good example of energy used up on the wrong causes. -
Yes, yes, the glory days.

Luke Shaw was our player of the year. And you were an average, clogger side. Don't kid yourself son. We're not the Man United of old but we were challenging for the top four until the last couple of games of the season. That's not average like your West Hams/Bournemouths/Newcastles. Very generous to group us in with those like

Mount is much better. Never quite understood the fuss about Loftus Cheek.

Jota is good to watch like. Villa look like they can play decent stuff albeit coming on the back of a wave of confidence from scoring. Sometimes all it takes. Shame we wait till 90+3 to score when the other time are already packing their bags.

Tbf, the majority of team's goalscoring opportunities come from passes from outside of the box into the box, IE. crosses, through balls etc.

The most sickening thing about the Mike Ashley reign for me is the way his actions and treatment of the club has become normalised. It appears like our fans and the wider football community have just accepted it and thus he can just do what he wants. Helpless to it. Every show of apathy and hatred towards the club and its supporters from Ashley is no longer (or ever has been) met with the appropriate level of resistance. It's just accepted. Us as fans can't really do much, as if our voices can't penetrate the levels he operates on. As if our voices are just background noise coming from a different plane. This is where you would want the papers, the politicians, those high enough up to have an impact on this fucker to show up for the sake of what is right. For the sake of a wonderful football club, one of best in the country, being ran into the ground by a man who not only doesn't show ambition, not only doesn't give a fuck, but appears to actively be trying to piss fans off. I just don't understand how it's been allowed to go on for so long. Are there any examples in this country of a football club owner being removed from their position due to negligence?

I'm on team Mandoon here but you could be s*** at it, what's your track record? Signed Hazard, £138 million, paid in instalments over 48 months. £15,000 goal bonus. No Malo Aye, until he forgot to press save.

Pedro is brilliant. One of my favourite players to watch in the PL.

Holy shit Chelsea looking incredible.

Bit much like. You've every right and reason to be furious with the club, but wishing one of our own players injured is bad crack. Ah your right. Wanting 40m of mikes investment and increasing the chances of relegation isn't ok and nobody wants that do they!? Just chill man

Good post. He's in a tough situation for any player never mind for a 22/23 year old adjusting to a new culture and league. Needs time, won't get it, both due to the necessity to win games and also due to a certain bulk of our fan base which has proved time and time again to be less than patient and not at all forgiving to players find their feet.

If we consider this a free hit, which we don't have much choice in as we're going to get mauled in this Bruce (shocking) 5-3-2 formation, then that Watford game is huge. If we're losing the opening 4, in the manner we've lot the opening 2, I don't see any way back for the manager. The players will lose faith and rightly so. Dire. And I'm one of the positive ones. -
Hard to believe it's ended up like this, with this guy in charge. Rafa Benitez, man. We had it so fucking good for once.

No idea what we were meant to be doing today

Hayden only one to come out of today with any credit imo. Pukki's hat trick is excellent. Shades of Shearer in the first & second. -
Don't know who to compare him to otherwise, he is the replacement after all, you are right they are different players so head coach should be playing to strengths but we'll he's kind of not, other than that he cost £40 mil and can't control the ball, my word it's the same pre-rafa shot again You said it yourself. That's precisely why his every move shouldn't be compared to Rondon. Gonna be hard not too when he's been asked to play the same role. Not that it is his fault. Just feel for him. Our fan base can turn into cunts when they get on a players' back. And it appears to be happening already because he hasn't got the attributes of Rondon.

Looking very poor. Can't quite tell what the game plan is supposed to be. Hayden's done very well mind, and not sure Dubravka could have done more on the goal, too much power. Also, let's not get on Joelinton's back, sure the ball isn't sticking, but christ is he isolated when he gets the ball. Rondon was brilliant in those situations mind, but they're different players and there's only so much one can do.
