Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

I thought he played better tonight than in the last few games for sure. Nice that he was being found more when peeling off the high line of Leicester. Unlucky not to score in truth. Very pleasing stuff indeed. -

I think the build up about Maddison pre-game and his good form of late had me more alarmed than what was necessary when he was in possession. We dealt with him comfortably, I think he found Vardy once or twice and that's it. Masterclass from our wonderful Spaniard. -

Agree with that, but Wes Morgan didn't exactly cover himself with glory on the goal, so maybe could chip away at him also. Yeah. Morgan was obviously played to handle Rondon's physicality but is vulnerable to Perez & Almiron. Definitely more goals in this if we keep our levels up. -

Ricardo their right back looks vulnerable to me, can definitely see Rafa asking Ritchie & Almiron to exploit him further. Poor defensive player. -

Good showing from us so far. Everyone seems up for it, Ki looking better which is proving important. Hope we keep it up. Front 3 look bang up for tonight too. -
Messi awful McTominay pen Can’t wait for the second leg like. Barcelona cruised through that last night. Shows how far Man United have fallen for no shots on target at Old Trafford and a 0-1 defeat to be considered positive.
-
Barca were so comfortable there after taking the lead. The commentary and analysis bordered insanity, repeatedly talking about how De Gea hadn't really been tested meanwhile Man Utd failed to register a single shot on target.
-
Two players make contact. One looks to cheat and throw himself to the ground with an added twirl in mid air. Pathetic.
-
Are you kidding? It was a pathetic dive by McTominay.
-
He really felt the Brunt of that, bet he thought it was just going to be a Gayle.

Nice to see Strasbourg doing well again and back in the top flight. Currently sitting in 9th, above Rennes, respectable indeed.

Guardiola is not a good manager in the CL Got it badly wrong tonight like. With the quality of Bernardo missing and the other options they have to come in, for him to play Mahrez, Delph & Gundogan without bringing in Sane or KDB from the start or earlier in the game made them look toothless. Mahrez is nowhere near the player he was for that one season, and Gundogan is never going to offer the same attacking quality as KDB against high level opposition. Of course they've a good squad and need to use it in this period particularly, but to miss out on an away goal could come back to haunt them, and now they will need to throw everything they have at Spurs in an already busy period. Could have been managed better imo.
-
It was because Delph was screaming in Kane's face. Literally every other manager would have done the same. I missed that. It looked like Delph had apologised to me. Anyhow, pleased there's been a goal either way tbh, pretty dross game.
-
Ridiculous that Pochettino is being so vocal to Delph here. He literally done fuck all wrong, it was Kane's fault if anything. Surely he shouldn't be allowed to be constantly in the opponents ear from the touchline?
-
Spurs - City? It really is. Thoroughly disappointing.
-
Citeh missing Bernardo here like. Much better than Mahrez. Could certainly use the quality of De Bruyne on there too, little bit flat by their standards imo.

I reckon a canny few players will have loved and been excited about the game on the journey from Sunday league, through the youth ranks into the professional level, where they then find the destination leaves a lot to be desired. In which case all that's really left is the wage packet leading to it being perceived as any other job would be.

How on earth did he even know he was being closed down man

It's just nice to have a player on our hands who you look at and see potential that is hard to put a ceiling on. That element of the unknown which makes you that bit more excited before kick-off. He's had good games and some pretty ineffective games thus far; he's taken the game to opponents and created situations that have lead to goals, and he's also lost the ball and gave opportunities for the opposition to score. Whilst I'm pretty certain we haven't seen him at his attacking best yet (relative to his high technical ability and attacking proficiency), I think perhaps just as importantly we have seen a determined, willing and brave player not at all overawed by his new environment, who I believe when settled, could set this place alight. -
They'll surely find a way around the transfer ban - delay it or something. Could see Kenedy going to a Serie A club.

Lovely stuff. Watford deserved that having come back from 2 down - Wolves ran out of Galp Energia.

Deulofeu is class like, quality goal. Love Deeney’s celebration after his equaliser too. Would love a Watford win.
