Wolves' defending Should be a good game between us and Southampton next week.

He said that the ref deserved to be thumped and implied the officials were bent, man. His complaint is spot on, but he went too far just as he always does.
-
He was excellent tonight, it would be nice to keep him here but in a way I'm not too concerned if he does depart. If you look back to last season, Diame & Shelvey seemed so key to us and the loss of that partnership would have worried us all massively. This season the pair of them have featured less with the emergence of Hayden & Longstaff who now seem invaluable. It leads me to believe Rafa is just very good at getting his midfield pairing working together effectively in this system, and would trust going forward into next season (if he's here) that we will remain strong in the that area whether it's with him identifying a new addition or continuing to use 2 of the existing 5.

There was like a Swiss school party in front of me at the Palace game, what a miserable game to go to Aye They were saying there's a canny few of them staying in Newcastle for 3 month on a gap year developing their English and seeing the sights. Clearly getting more than they bargained for having witnessed Fabian in the flesh.

He's just fucking wonderful Was sat next to a group of Swiss lasses at the Palace game - Once I made them aware this dreamboat played for us and pointed him out they started creaming over how beautiful he is. I concurred and I'm pretty sure they thought I was gay as I spent the next few minutes declaring my love for him A bit of a national treasure for them, apparently. Surprised they didn't know he played for us as they were pretty knowledgable about football & sport in general.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

I thought he played better tonight than in the last few games for sure. Nice that he was being found more when peeling off the high line of Leicester. Unlucky not to score in truth. Very pleasing stuff indeed. -

I think the build up about Maddison pre-game and his good form of late had me more alarmed than what was necessary when he was in possession. We dealt with him comfortably, I think he found Vardy once or twice and that's it. Masterclass from our wonderful Spaniard. -

Agree with that, but Wes Morgan didn't exactly cover himself with glory on the goal, so maybe could chip away at him also. Yeah. Morgan was obviously played to handle Rondon's physicality but is vulnerable to Perez & Almiron. Definitely more goals in this if we keep our levels up. -

Ricardo their right back looks vulnerable to me, can definitely see Rafa asking Ritchie & Almiron to exploit him further. Poor defensive player. -

Good showing from us so far. Everyone seems up for it, Ki looking better which is proving important. Hope we keep it up. Front 3 look bang up for tonight too. -
Messi awful McTominay pen Can’t wait for the second leg like. Barcelona cruised through that last night. Shows how far Man United have fallen for no shots on target at Old Trafford and a 0-1 defeat to be considered positive.
-
Barca were so comfortable there after taking the lead. The commentary and analysis bordered insanity, repeatedly talking about how De Gea hadn't really been tested meanwhile Man Utd failed to register a single shot on target.
-
Two players make contact. One looks to cheat and throw himself to the ground with an added twirl in mid air. Pathetic.
-
Are you kidding? It was a pathetic dive by McTominay.
-
He really felt the Brunt of that, bet he thought it was just going to be a Gayle.
-
Nice to see Strasbourg doing well again and back in the top flight. Currently sitting in 9th, above Rennes, respectable indeed.

Guardiola is not a good manager in the CL Got it badly wrong tonight like. With the quality of Bernardo missing and the other options they have to come in, for him to play Mahrez, Delph & Gundogan without bringing in Sane or KDB from the start or earlier in the game made them look toothless. Mahrez is nowhere near the player he was for that one season, and Gundogan is never going to offer the same attacking quality as KDB against high level opposition. Of course they've a good squad and need to use it in this period particularly, but to miss out on an away goal could come back to haunt them, and now they will need to throw everything they have at Spurs in an already busy period. Could have been managed better imo.
-
It was because Delph was screaming in Kane's face. Literally every other manager would have done the same. I missed that. It looked like Delph had apologised to me. Anyhow, pleased there's been a goal either way tbh, pretty dross game.
-
Ridiculous that Pochettino is being so vocal to Delph here. He literally done fuck all wrong, it was Kane's fault if anything. Surely he shouldn't be allowed to be constantly in the opponents ear from the touchline?
-
Spurs - City? It really is. Thoroughly disappointing.
-
Citeh missing Bernardo here like. Much better than Mahrez. Could certainly use the quality of De Bruyne on there too, little bit flat by their standards imo.

I reckon a canny few players will have loved and been excited about the game on the journey from Sunday league, through the youth ranks into the professional level, where they then find the destination leaves a lot to be desired. In which case all that's really left is the wage packet leading to it being perceived as any other job would be.
