  1. I mean, ever since he came back from injury his form has been like one of the best keepers in the league, and before the injury he probably was going to be England number one. Fwiw I do actually think Ben Foster has been more impressive for Watford this season. He's been excellent. Plus I'm just having some fun because I daint like EDL FC.
  2. well compared with pickford this season..... Ben Foster's better than them both. Which pretty much says everything about the standard of the entire group tbh. No standouts.
  3. T0M H3AT0NZ THA B3ST ENGLEEISH KEPA LYK.
  4. Foul by Tarkowski that like. What a bell he is.
  5. Burnley All Whites set up in a very strong and stable 442.
  6. The problem with the argument that they’re both left sided players being the reason Ritchie doesn’t pass to him is that Ritchie constantly, at least 10 times since Almiron joined, cuts in to his right foot, not even in the final third and looks for a short pass inside realising he’s on his weaker foot and has little space rather than playing a sinple pass with his left to Almiron in space. So it’s not like when Ritchie does it it’s always because he has opportunity to cross. Blatantly ignoring him I reckon and it’s infuriating to watch. Would love Kenedy to start, Ritchie seems to see more of the ball than any other player despite being one of our poorer players at this level, was the same with Dummett when he was at left back.
  7. Did Ritchie just play Almiron in for that cross there? I don't believe my eyes.
  8. Got to thinking about how our current Newcastle squad would have lined up under Bobby Robson? Assuming 442... -------------------Dubravka------------------ Yedlin-----Lascelles---Lejeune----Dummett Almiron------Shelvey----Ki----------Kenedy ---------------Perez--------------------------- ------------------------Rondon---------------- Perhaps something like that? Kenedy in the Robert role, a midfield with goalscoring threat, and a Woodgate/Bramble esque central defence. You could move Almiron into the Perez role to get more of that Shearer/Bellamy relationship.
  9. Great atmosphere in that game, and a great result. Love the French football fans.
  10. My reaction watching the game was no pen. His arm wasn't exactly flailing out, it was pretty much down by his side. That said, I can kind of bring myself to seeing why he gave it, in terms of his arm not being firmly pressed by his side and that the shot maybe leads to a goal or a goalscoring opportunity should it not hit the arm. I daint really care though, tbh
  11. Would be the perfect David Silva replacement but Bernardo looks like he’s taking that role.
  12. Canny few injuries this season including an appendicitis. One of my favourite players in Europe to watch. Just incredible. That's not the main reason he hasn't been playing, he's missed 8 games from injuries this season. He doesn't get along with Solari, that's it. https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2019/02/07/5c5c9dd4e2704ea76b8b4584.html Good news, he should move to the PL. Liverpool or City would be great moves for him. Arsenal or Man Utd even... Would love to see him here.

  14. 7. They had the chance to go 10 points clear when they played City in January and lost.
  15. Liverpool? I'd have to agree tbh, it's good but it's not on the level of Man City. Front 3 is good, Van Dijk is obviously one of the best around and they've a few solid full backs, but I think they lack real depth outside of Shaqiri and have a relatively average midfield, particular from a creative standpoint. Shows Klopp has done a very very good job to have them compete and compete well with a brilliant City side. Aye, even Origi having to start in such a big game is ridiculous I think Klopp perhaps made a few selection mistakes for them today tbh. I think he looked to players who have derby experience over the players who would more likely win him the game. Origi scoring last derby probably influenced his decision to start him, and bringing on Lallana/Milner over Shaqiri. Imo, if Firmino couldn't start the game, Salah, Mane and Shaqiri should have. Suppose it's easy to say in retrospect, probably hard not to get dragged into playing the occasion instead of the game.

  17. Like that celebration from the Watford bench, not really playing for anything but lots of passion on display still - Garcia has them playing some decent stuff. Don't mind Watford at all.
