I don't want to sound smug but I've been saying this since the first time he played for us. Yes, even when he scored that early goal against Spurs. He is one million miles away from being a centre forward/number 9. And don't give me that "but he's really a wide left player". The bloke is shit!

Nailed it. However his supporters (cough) will have their fingers in their ears going "la la la la". As soon as Newcastle got a win somehow, it didn't matter in what fashion then they were out beating the Bruce drum. "Great job", "fantastic job", "better than Rafa" (that one really boiled my piss) etc. Even those that said he was doing an OK job, what were you thinking? The man is a lucky millionaire fraud. Nice work if you can get it and you can bet your bottom dollar that his friends in the media will get him another lucrative deal some place else. It stinks!

Yedlin's been well under the standard you would expect of a premier league footballer tonight. Is that ok? No, Yedlin has been shite! And not just in this game either. For most of his time here in my opinion. Mr Logic does have a valid point though.

Love it Yorkie. You are absolutely spot on.

"BUT ALL I SAID WAS HE'S DOING AN OK JOB, GOD DAMN FOOLS"!

Downgrade on what? We don't have a left back in the club, unless you count Ritchie and Dummett who are not left backs. The amount of money that has been circulating around a permanent deal is ridiculous though. What’s Dummett then if not a left back? Dummett is the best left back at the club, simples.

Samp, this is purely a hypothetical question. Now remember, it's hypothetical. A team in the Premier league goes undefeated for the full season ending on 38 points but get relegated. That's right, 38 draws. In your world would that team be successful or unsuccessful? Oh dear, your brain can't take it! The second team in Premier League history to be undefeated? Pretty fucking successful. But they got relegated. ? Don't make stupid analogies. I enjoy debating and discussing football. My opinion is we play better football under Bruce than Carver. I remember the Carver games and remember how we played (5-0 City beyond dire ). I also provide evidence. 8 losses in a row. Bruce wins 1 in 3 games. Carver won 1 in 7 games. Opinions do matter but facts matter too. I forgot to add that this "hypothetical" team that got relegated didn't score a solitary goal. That's right, 38 games that ended 0-0. Were they a good team Samp? Clearly not a realistic question though. My question is an easy answer. Yes or no? Your question is fantasy. Not at all. I'm using mathematics and statistics. A subject you love. See what you can do with stats Samp? Use your eyes, brain and common sense and put those old Rothman books away (sorry, you are probably too young).?

Not angry, honest.

You agree with him? Better football under Carver? I can’t remember tbh. I’d say it’s comparable though, but luckily ASM and Almiron have flashes of brilliance. Can't remember lol. Okay then. Oh, I remember us being shite, but I can’t remember what system he had us playing. I’ll go back and watch some of it on YouTube though. No real need to laugh though, it was 5 years ago and I’ve had a child since then We lost 8 in a row. What do you need to remember? You’re extremely results driven aren’t you. I thought the question was about the quality of the football? So we lost 8 in a row and the standard of football was good? 3 wins in 20 games but we played reasonably well? Come on man. Told ya! Rod just calm down fella, he's only saying Bruce played better football than Carver. Just. calm. down! Hi Judge. Still mates? I'd hope so ?. I just think you are misunderstood. ?

If Pochettino is given Joselu as striker, aye. Brilliant!
-
Of course he’s done fine, look at the table. Anyway, where did you think we’d finish under him? He’s a plastic Geordie, with an awful accent, he’s been shown to be clueless at times (the first 30 mins at home to Brighton were an embarrassment - we made them look like prime Barca, after that game I was convinced we were going down), he’s no oil painting but he can’t be criticised for our position in the league. I thought we’d be where our performances & stats put us, 18th-19th probably. In no way is Bruce getting credit for us someone being where we are. Thanks, so we both agree he’s over achieved. I’ll give him reluctant credit for that. Man City are currently dismantling yet another side, Bruce got absolute pelters for our recent performances against Man City, seriously, they play a different game to most other teams. Come on the Saudis, the rest of us may as well not bother at the moment. But we played Watford today not Man City.
-
I haven't seen him even have a half decent game to be honest. He looks shot to bits. Shocking for a supposedly professional footballer.
-
We're Ashley's Newcastle, what else is supposed to drive us? There'll never really be a final revenge, I'll probably always want them to be shit. Having them laugh at us, celebrating, at Villa Park, can't imagine it'll ever not be satisfying seeing their club going down. What is football about if not bitterness and grudges? Exactly this. I have wished ill will of them ever since that awful day.

Someone posted earlier that we play with no game plan and this is bang on. We actually just seem to react to whatever the opposition do. We do not press, don't hit on the break and the overall movement of the team is non existent. When we have possession it's like give it to Saint and hope for the best. I actually think we have some good players but we play with no direction or plan. That's all down to coaching and management. I really wish we could sack Bruce with immediate effect, that's what I feel about him right now. A total fraud who appears to have LOTS of friends in the media brainwashing people.
-
I probably should have worded it better I agree. It's the old "Rod the Red" coming out (yes I'm old and a bit of a leftie). However, my points still stand. We fans can and will retaliate to lying scum press (there I go again, sorry). Are we friends now then Judge? I'm friends with everyone me.

Steve Bruce is nowhere near important enough to write stuff like this about, it's ludicrous from Edwards. Only way to unite the fan base.........FIGHT!......... or get a new manager Careful, the Judge and Samp will be on here ridiculing your brave ideas. Not really given I want rid of Bruce. Judge/Samp, there is a good piece in The Mag by Jim Robertson regarding the media bias and unfair reporting on Bruce/Newcastle United. The responses are great (as in fans have had enough). Then there is a brilliant story by George Caulkin in The Athletic slagging off Steve McManaman for his outrageous platitudes towards Bruce. You really need to read them and realise that we fans do have a voice and it now doesn't seem so silly of me saying we really need to take the gutter media to task. Just saying. I don't know a single NUFC fan that wants to keep Bruce as manager. You seem to think that just because I reckon Bruce has done alright this season that I'm a massive Brewcie fanboy and he's exempt from my criticism. I don't like Bruce. I don't rate Bruce as a manager. I didn't want Bruce when he was appointed. I still don't want Bruce now. I agree with the view that if he's here next season, some of the rub of the green he's had this season will eventually run out and shit will eventually hit the fan. I don't think we've been amazing this season at times like McManaman has said we have been. I don't think Bruce is in contention for the manager of the year. Again, I think he's done alright this season. That doesn't mean I like him. If you disagree with my opinion that we/Bruce have done alright this season, nay bother. But I'm not and never have been a fan of Bruce. I don't care about possession stats, amount of corners we have, shots on target we have or the amount of saves our keeper has had to make in a game as long as we get a result. But that's me. If you or whoever else want to analyse xG stats and whatever else go ahead. I'm not arsed one bit about those things - they mean fuck all to me. The reason I'm not getting worked up over him is because we're soon going to have new owners and with that, a new manager. We've got a few weeks to months left of Ashley and Bruce. Just like the last two seasons, we're in no danger of going down and we're not in contention for Europe. The season will ebb away into nothing. Bruce will go, Ashley will go. If (and I doubt it will happen) that the sale falls through and Ashley and Bruce remain, then aye.. It'll be a shitstorm the following season(s) for as long as they remain. And something to definitely get worked up over. My response was mainly about you ridiculing my stance regarding hitting back at the media. You thought it was hilarious. We the fans have a HUGE voice and some of our fans have "clout" (George Caulkin). It's already happening and other fans are taking notice. That was my point. What point did you think I was making?
