More completely "made up" rubbish. The situation remains as i outlined it a few posts back, and will remain that way until we actually hear (are told) the final result. Nothing to (pretend to) report until then. You are literally pretending there is still talks going on. Nothing whatsoever points to that being the case Can't you see?? I am not "pretending" anything at all, I'm not 'understating' anything, I'm not 'overstating' anything . . at all! Until Ashley and / or Staveley say it is dead, it is (obviously) still ALIVE. It can't be anything else!! Dude, what are you on about? You are beyond denial I hope you are trolling... What are you saying all that for, did you not read my post. There is NO (amongst other things) "denial" Just waiting to hear some one (a real person involved in this, Staveley or Ashley) actually say it is dead or it has happened. It has to be one or the other. Nothing has been said yet, by anyone who knows / matters. Just wait! Why does there have to be an official denial? Why the word "denial"? Denial of what ?? Neither one of the parties involved (buyers or sellers) have yet said anything about the final result. That has been very apparent by its absence. They will do so when a final conclusion is reached. It is obvious that we do not know anything - one way of the other - until that happens. I'm not sure how many different ways I can state that simple and obvious fact! You ignoring PIF pulling out? You know, actual people? That was a long time ago, and a lot could have happened since. Also, they never pulled out officially, in their bid with Staveley and the Reubens to the Premier League. As the PL have said, it is still 'on the table'. They only made a public statement, and that (and the lack of an official withdrawal to the PL) could have been for a variety of reasons. We still await the outcome. What are you on about with "That was a long time ago"? - Do they have to pull out every week? They pulled out. They announced they'd pulled out. Richard Masters, when speaking to NUST, confirmed they'd pulled out. Staveley has said it's over. The Ruebens have said it's over. PIF have said it's over. Ashley is now saying he's resigned to staying in charge. Literally EVERY SINGLE PERSON OR GROUP involved in this deal has said it's over, but yet here you are going "I'm still hopeful". Give your head a shake. It's fucking done. I'm sure Ashley said something along the lines of "we hope to resurrect the deal and hope its not over". That's not a quote mind, I just put it in quotation marks (I know).

Like fuck they did. A point to know, we both know absolutely fuck all and are making assumptions not facts. I am with bimpy on this. The only reason this takeover did not happen was because of the corrupt EPL. It was not Amanda's fault, nor the Reubens and not the PIF. It was certainly not the fans fault or George Caulkin. People must know the ONLY reason it stalled was entirely down to the EPL.

Tomorrow my wife is taking a well deserved day holiday (Bank Holiday weekend), so we have booked a lunch on the Newcastle Quayside at Dobson & Parnell. Do you know where that is? I will answer for you, NO. Because the restaurant is in the beautiful City of Newcastle. Try it sometime, the people, bars and restaurants are fabulous....... err, what are you doing?

You should be banned from this forum for playing people feelings constantly. Eh? I’m one of the least of members who play people’s feelings and when I do spout s****, as tiresome as it may be, the older members will know at least not to take anything seriously enough and nor should anyone else. Anyway, if it doesn’t go through soon, I predict another takeover saga in January! I know you since your Hitzfeld for toon campaign. I use to respect you a lot but I think you lost the plot. This takeover really twists our hearts and feelings like no other. No one knows when it could or not end in anyway or another. So better not wind people up and get reaction you know better. Get a grip of yourself man. This bloke (the judge) is a complete asshole and wind up merchant. As he says, just put on ignore or block. I personally love to see him squirm when he is massively wrong (most of the time). Ask him any question on NUFC and he is stumped. Mackem through and through.

My mates think I can't stand Pickford because he is an ex mackem. However, I honestly can't believe that he is England's number 1. In my opinion he is too error prone and his head is everywhere apart from the game. Another one who thinks he has made it, just like Joe Hart.

Mings has had an awful season, right up until the restart. Grealish not being there is absolutely laughable. Mings is actually awful. I think he has had a couple of good games this season but loads of terrible one's.

As an NUST member I must say that I am so proud of your attempts to gain some clarity on the proposed/failed takeover. Keep going!

Well I make it 35 points and I was being generous.

Aye, that's right mate. Staveley put together a consortium of the one of the world's biggest investment funds & Britain's wealthiest men, created a number of limited companies, researched & put together a 350 page brochure, spent millions of pounds on expensive lawyers and put down and £17M nonrefundable deposit, because she knew it was going to fail and just wanted a bit of kudos on NUFC message boards. F***ing idiot. Spot on!

She sounds like she's back tracking & lashing out. I think the exact opposite. Strange that eh judge? It's blown my mind. It hasn't with mine. Only because you are a total wind up merchant. Go on, say something nice about Newcastle, I dare you. I did, I said we wont go down this season! Thats the biggest compliment you can pay us under Ashley! And your thoughts on the NUST push for answers from the EPL? It was thrown back in my face and your comments were no less piss taking. You attempted to make me out a fool when I dared to suggest taking the bullying EPL on. You are no Newcastle fan and I know it. Do one!

Well I was curious about this line. "The Premier League has already offered independent arbitration, rejected by the bidders, who say their ownership structure - with the PIF an independent investment vehicle as set out in its charter - and business plan were clear. " Have not seen any mention of that before, and why reject a potential arbitration that might actually agree with them? As far as I can tell the Crown Prince WhateverHisNameIs appointed the director of PIF to run the investment vehicle and doesn't interfere with it. By what right does the PL have to say "We don't believe you". If you go back to that interview with the PIF director, it was posted, he describes how he was appointed and what his remit was for the PIF. He seems to be doing a brilliant job. NUFC would be a tiny slice of PIF's investment portfolio, why the fuck would the Crown Prince be interfering at all. The arbitration quote also caught my eye. We have them ( The EPL) bang to rights!

Yeah, I think the PL have got themselves into a real shitshow and wish the whole thing just didn't exist. They've obviously got themselves a cartel of powerful opponents to the takeover (the chosen few PL clubs, Qatar via BeIN Sports, others with an axe to grind) who they really don't want to put offside - if these interests weren't applying extraordinary pressure on the PL then the takeover would likely have been approved within the aforementioned 4-5 weeks. I doubt if they are worried about getting sued by those who want to stop the takeover, but they obviously risk commercial arrangements (with the likes of BeIN) and risk a potential revolt from those leading PL clubs (who they may fear leaving the PL to form a new European super league). But, whilst the PL may wish to bow to those powerful interests (forcing the takeover to not happen) they don't have a clear (or even token) set of criteria against which they can justify stopping the takeover, meaning if they do they know they will get sued into oblivion. They can't afford to define a specific reason for rejecting the takeover because that will give Ashley and the buying consortium a tangible thing to sue the PL over (because it will very obviously be a justification that won't stand up in court). This leaves the PL under the impression they are in an impossible position - but, the problem they have not reconciled themselves to is that, laws (in this case mostly commercial law, but likely some regulatory laws too) trump other commercial risks. If/when the PL are forced to say "rejected" and forced to give a reason then they risk a substantial lawsuit from Mike Ashley, the buying consortium, and potentially other interests who stand to lose from the takeover not happening (e.g. Newcastle City Council, Reubens, others). Even if the PL decides that the potential lawsuit is going to cost them less than the cost of pissing off BeIN Sport (Qatar) or the preferred clubs, the lawsuit could still cause the PL to go bankrupt because the amounts of money are so huge. The PL have only got themselves to blame for this - it is through their negligence and incompetence that they did not anticipate the consequences of the ODT (as it is written) and did not properly manage the process from the beginning. They also failed to hold other clubs, those that were purchased prior to the current ODT, to the same standard - and courts take a dim view of hypocrisy. They stuck their heads in the sand, probably assuming that fat-Mike would screw up the deal and they wouldn't have to worry about it, and know they're royally fecked! In reality what they need to do is accept their medicine, approve the takeover, and then pucker up to kiss the arses of BeIN and the lead PL clubs for the next decade by way of apology. That is the only way they save this - otherwise they may cause the whole Premier League to collapse. They've screwed this up so bad they may cause the league itself to cease to exist (due to lawsuits, loss of lead clubs, loss of sponsors, loss of broadcasting revenues). One of the few decent posts on here. Well said Sir ..... or Madam.
