Fraser isn’t a central midfielder bud. I would rather have Nolan, Barton (even though I am not a fan) and Guthrie ahead of the longstaffs and Hendrick like, so for me that set of midfielders was better than what we have now. Thought you were on about the midfield as a whole. If you're only on about CM then I'd probably feel even stronger. The CMs in our two relegation seasons were a disgrace. Hayden and Shelvey are a solid midfield pair. I'm arguing for arguing's sake though really. The area needs major investment and I've said several times that, had Rafa been given the resources he deserved, I wouldn't have been surprised if we'd blown a significant amount of the budget on that area. It can transform a team. Shelvey was the last significant purchase in that position; since him we've brought in Hayden, Diame, Ki, Merino and Hendrick for about £12.99 altogether, and only one of them is any use to us right now. It's been a horribly neglected position, particularly when you consider Jonjo's colossal limitations. Rafa knew what we needed. Merino would have been perfect in Rafas team. I also think he was trying to get Sean Longstaff to learn that role. If Rafa had been given a modicum of funds we would be looking good for the future. Unfortunately Ashley is still the owner.

Joelinton has been ok/average in the games he's started this season. There is rarely any end product, good through ball for Wilson though. Was very lucky to score against Palace (terrible connection). He is never a £10m player never mind £40m. I love different opinions, that's what makes the world interesting. He's still without a doubt the worst signing we've ever made, but he's better when he doesn't have to try and score, because fuck me is he bad at that. His hold up play is ok, he is weak as piss, he is terrible in the air, he does not move the defenders around. By that I mean his movement is shocking and his movement in the box is non existent. Most of his mistakes today was basic stuff that any footballer learns at a very early age. It has got nothing to do with coaching. The West Brom goal was a shocking piece of defending. In fact I don't think he's a good defender at all. However he looks comfortable when in possession of the ball. Defending wise he's awful.

I think Mimms is the only one who thinks theres a chance of it being sorted before then. Based on what he’s said, the people involved, the pressure on the PL etc I think a takeover is a possibility in December or in January. We seen miles away at the moment Based on what? I think George Caulkin is cautious in what he says this time though.
