New owners always said this was a work in progress. Championship squad. 4th division facilities and a perilous league position is not conducive to a superstar manager. let’s get back to basics. Steady the ship. Hopefully survive this season and put the building blocks of aiming for top half over the next few years. Hopefully we have owners who follow our mantra of having a club that tries.

Emery’s agent leaked the approach to get him a pay rise. He was never coming.
-
The fact we are scouring the earth for a quality manager that wants to come while they are contemplating the virtues of Steve Bruce is completely lost on them
-
Charnley would struggle to recruit for McDonalds staff. If he was involved then no surprise.
-
Imagine Newcastle fans expecting things to go to plan. Never going to happen.

We want someone fully committed to the role and understands both the project and the area. It appears (from Spanish sources) it’s not for Emery or his family. If true then close the door on this approach and move on to someone who wants the challenge.

Amazing how this is front page news on the bbc website.
-
“He’ll maybe join next year when the vision is clearer” Or if they’re still in the PL. If it’s true we move on and don’t come back in for him

Not enough rolling of sleeves and going again for me in that interview.

Poor Luke. Abandoned by the new regime and forced to make his wage on scraps and lies due to being an absolute dick during the Ashley era. Torquay beckons for the bald prick.

“Sir Ricky Sbragia Midfield 5 minutes ago #12 There is a 13 year old boy at my house crying tonight. This boy is my cousin and is heartbroken Johnson you bastard fool. Why must you inflict such pain on us ? Do you have no remorse ? Do you?” I’m really hoping the 13 year old boy is crying because his team are getting whopped and it’s nothing to do with uncle Ricky.

Tunes will sort that out.

Just as well the Saudis didn’t buy sunderland. The massive lads have morals, they would have boycotted the games. Protested in the streets, marched on Downing Street demanding change and created their own spin off club in retaliation (silksworth infidels or Hendon whites for example). Would they fuck. They’re fooling nobody. Their outrage is nothing but absolute jealousy. None of the clowns have the balls to admit it either.

“I’m going to be controversial and say Emery is a good manager who had a hard job stepping into a club moulded in Wenger’s image. The Talimags are the opposite, they absolutely hated Bruce and will do anything not to go back in time. They don’t have the players to pivot from midfield and attack from the channels so they’ll end up playing like Rafa/Bruce for a good while yet. It’s a question of whether UE has the personality or reputation of Rafa to keep them happy inbetween. Probably not”

I always though local hero was lame tbh. decent interview with the new gaffer here; https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/15/unai-emery-arsenal-couldnt-protect-me-truth-is-i-felt-alone

Emery and Staveley, live together in perfect harmony Side by side with the PIF board, oh Lord, why don't we? (apologies to McCartney and Wonder)

Come on in Dick. (This post is for over 50’s only)

Everton sounds like a job for Bruce. Common knowledge in the white media it was his boyhood club and there’s every chance he could match Rafas points total over the last 2 games.
-
You’re going to be gutted then
-
I have an inkling “new beginnings” will be filling his nappy over this very thing next.

If a manger knocks us back then they weren’t the man for us anyway. I guess we want someone who relishes the challenge of being able to turn this shitshow around but also having the funds available to do that. If that scares anyone then thanks but no thanks.
