  1. The positive here is that the new manager bump might let them overtake the scouse mackems.
  2. Most tics are secondary to other things. Real Tourette’s is very rare. ADHD would explain his.
  3. He’s a textbook example of an adult with adhd. When he was playing football and had some structure in his life and a means of burning his energy off he was in he perfect situation. When he stopped he sank like a stone. one of the benefits of adhd is being able to do things without hesitation which works like a charm for a footballer like him. I reckon T-Rex Pickford is adhd to. He makes stupid mistakes when he has time to think but when he just needs to react he’s brilliant. It takes ADHD to stick your tongue out during the national anthem in the World Cup semi final in front of billions.
  4. Being a middle aged owld twat, one of the things I’m acutely aware of is the peril of saying exactly the same things about youngsters as my parents generation said to me. Just saying.
  5. I know the lad on the right. He’s a tattooist and did a half sleeve cover up for me. Wor lass managed the studio he worked at a couple years back. He’s a good lad. A bit daft but no more so than all of us in our 20’s. Great tattooist too. he thought the picture getting such a big profile was funny as fuck.
  6. One of the English teachers at blaydon comp was known as pineapple heed. He used to her quite upset about it. Probably a really nice fella on reflection. Just had to deal with barely civilised kids.
  7. Olly Bernard came back from Darlington a great player.

  9. Scalded my hand with hot bovril coming back from the kiosk in the east stand paddock when Peter Whithe got on the end of a long ball and rifled it into the leazes net. No clue what the game was. Can’t remember who we played in my first match. I do remember some naughty lads getting off the train at blaydon and hoying stones at the windows as it pulled away though.
  10. Sticking by my new Ketsbaia opinion previously posted. A bit more Ben Arfa in his execution at times but he promises much and doesn’t live up to the hype. In a couple of seasons he’ll either have been pedalled or he’ll be a squad player.
  11. Picked the squad knowing we were very unlikely to win and saving lads for the next two which we most certainly can. Sensible and nigh worked. No complaints at all. This was the only one I’ve been thinking we’d get nowt from over the recent and immediately upcoming games.
  12. First memory is the 1974 cup final and supermac skying a shot from the edge of the 18 yard box. and I used to sit it the Trent end at the city ground in the mid - late 90’s / early 2000’s or whenever forest went down for the last time. Keeping my head down and gib shut. Soon as Batty made that rick in 1996 and Woan went for it I thought ‘that’s the title gone.’
  13. How long did it take Bergkamp to score for Arsenal? and with all due respect to Wood, he’s a shit load better.
  14. That makes me wonder how much Robert Lee would cost these days.
  15. 14 points from a possible 18. 2.3 points per game. That’s title winning form. Chelsea is the only game we can be confident we’ll get nothing from between now and the end of April. I think we can be pretty fucking optimistic. We won’t be perfect and we’ll drop points at times but even if we manage a point a game between now and the end of the season we’re safe.
  16. We’ve got 2.2 points per game over the last six. If we only manage 1.5 per game over the next 14 we’ll finish on 43 points. I think we can do that.
  17. Yeah. But it wasn’t some joyous swaggering romp up the table. It was touch and go til the end.
  18. He’s absolute class. He’s in the doldrums at the minute and he needs a move to revitalise him. He’s the perfect example of class being permanent. A new club on the up where he’ll be idolised would be perfect for him. At his age he’ll probably want to go somewhere where he can win something so not likely to be us but I’d take his arm off at the shoulder personally.
  19. People have short memories. Keegan’s first season at the bottom of the second division was nervy as fuck.
  20. I’m not defensive about it. We all know the cognitive dissonance is fucking noisy. It’s the fucking hypocrisy that makes me chuckle. That pornographer who owns West Ham along with the Golds is a nasty piece of work. He was a proper villain in the 70’s. He exploited loads of women. He was involved with a very vulnerable young woman - the one who Steve Jones was diddling about with in the cinema in the great rock n roll swindle who ended up in a terrible situation and killer herself. Vile man. Let him without sin etc etc.
