  1. 6 minutes? Clear your schedules lads, our games are gonna run forever.
  2. Haha, how long will booking players for kicking the ball away last? Right up until a Man City player does it on the opening weekend.
  3. Think Sheffield won't be too upset so far. They've conceded to a solid, significantly deflected, long range strike whilst having created two good openings which they failed to take. As joey said, this is probably gonna be their hardest home game of the season. I do wish they'd step up the pitch a bit though.
  4. Ah, that's partly why the keeper wasn't getting near to it
  5. That was a lovely move by Wednesday. Second time they've sliced through the Southampton lines.
  6. That's a really good strike. Keeper isn't getting near that.
  7. Walker-Peters stepping inside to play RCM whilst Southampton are in possession is cute.
  8. More than enough opportunities there for Wednesday to score.
  9. Southampton's sluggish passing is already annoying me
  10. This is exactly what I say to myself just before the first game of each Championship season and doing my absolute best... I make it through that single game before my interest wanes. Good luck.
  11. Landing a top tier CB will make this a very successful summer.
  12. Doesn't seem to be any info on TV coverage for the weekend. I guess they'll leave it to the last minute to announce as people would be less likely to buy those £30 tickets if they knew it was free/tenner to stream.
  13. A depth comparison between now and just before the takeover would be fascinating. Seems like we are getting to a stage where we have depth and youth prospects in most areas. Unprecedented 3 years ago.
  14. He strikes me as someone who struggles with confidence, never maintained his performance at the level his talent is capable of. Save for that few months under Bruce.
  15. That's it, planned to come off. Everyone is happy.
  16. PR dept earn their keep. We have to be grateful for his moments of magic during the dark days. And it is a shame injuries hampered last season as it looked like he was starting to reach the level needed to play regularly. Don't doubt he grew fond of us. Hope he is successful in his new venture and I do feel horrible about the possibility he was forced into the move.
  17. He looked to do the right thing at the right time, and did so efficiently. Nothing amazing, but just looked to have the fundamentals. I expect us to be more cohesive with Barnes and look to move the ball at a higher tempo. His track record suggests goals will come so we seem to have a player who is both going to contribute a greater individual output and help the team function. I'm really happy with the transfer.
  18. Saw enough from Barnes last night to suggest we won't miss ASM at all. We've upgraded again big time.
