Got a soft spot for Gnonto (FM bias, so ignore) - also remember when he first 'burst onto the scene' at Leeds, I'm sure Manure and the likes were all looking at him. I agree that his versatility and age make him more valuable than the £20-30m, providing these huffs he has isn't the main part of his personality, of course. To offset that - can we afford 20-30m on a luxury/quality of life/gamble signing? Who knows!

Agree with all that he is simply irreplaceable. Got a horrible feeling this is one that may happen though, an absurd 100M and Madueke or something similar may tempt us, it shouldn't, but it might... Fair play! I think he played with Gordon with England, seems to be given Ake a bit of a problem here. Attitude is everything of course, so would leave him alone if that is an issue.

I can't say I've seen too much of him, but Noni Madueke (sp) seems class at Chelsea... is that somebody they would offload to balance some of their madness?

We're obviously hamstrung from FFP, and aside from the inevitable violins about using Saudi loans, I don't see the problem. I'd let them cry this January and get Neves in. Then hope we secure enough revenue from European qualification from said loans and then rebuild without losing one of out 'gems'. I'd also take Phillips, Dybala and Ekitike(sp), if the deals were right, obviously all on loan.

Agreed - imagine having him, Bruno, Joe, Willock, Longstaff etc. training alongside (and competing with) young Miley. Very pleased he has remained around the set up. I reckon it will end up being Sandro, Bruno and Miley somewhere near the middle of the park.

Nothing to be too depressed about, we did our best and our already exposed squad got beat again, I don't think any of us would be shocked at that.
