Hmmm, do I play this off as a clever bit of winding up where you all took the bait, hook, line and sinker? Or do I admit that I misremembered and made a huge mistake? Well, this is the Internet so... yeah you guys fell for yet another of my classic japes. Jokes on you and definitely not me, or this scoreline that's for sure.

Feel like these have had our number for a while.

These lot are absolutely done. Revenues are high but running on fumes of past success, laden with debt, and sinking under the crushing weight of fan and media expectation. The club is so obviously a failed business, I'm surprised Mike Ashley hasn't put a bid in.

Justice for Osula.

This is class

Are we... the best?

That was the worst penalty I've ever seen in my life

Absolutely a shot.

The Juice's delivery has been outstanding so far.

Wasn't Will Hughes a Fifa wonderkid? Worrying.
-
I for one am shocked at that line up from us. Shocked.

Just when respect for the Juice couldn't go any higher, he does it again.

Aye, it's Barnes position to lose at this stage. I wouldn't have Gordon walk straight back into the team. I always feel like Barnes is a threat when he's on the attack, in a way that I haven't always with Gordon this season.

Did I hear that right? Commentator suggesting that if a goalkeeper has a head injury, they should remove them from the field of play and replace them with an outfield player until the goalkeeper return? That's kind of mental . I both love and hate that suggestion.

Are people leaving already?

Santon or GutiƩrrez could have been taken to a level above with Eddie. That left side should've been lethal.

Ah, well as long as it's with all due respect . We've lost to them before, and based on how we're doing these days, I'm living it down just fine . Let them come back up if they can. Adds some drama to the fixture list and some money to the region. Of course I would be chewed up by a derby loss, but long term it wouldn't make a difference. We are massive.

Honestly, aye I'd have them back in the Premier League. They will always be rivals, and always should be, but... 1) I'm not remotely threatened by them at all . I don't think about them, I don't know any of their players, and they're so far from where we are they're irrelevant. 2) Derby days are class. The last one was a bit of a damp squib. Much rather have something more equitable that has all our equine friends running for their lives. 3) The North East is far too tribal. We're already the forgotten region, both economically and politically, so if more money pours into the area from having another Premier League team, then I can only see that as a positive.

What an experience. Coming onto Percy street and seeing both Eldon car parks rammed with people singing songs, Tsang foods waving a Toon flag out the window while a mob climbs on the Oxfam roof to get a good vantage point. One Dad saying to his son "I've waited 41 years for this, you can stand an hour in the cold", and meeting people who came just to film it for those that couldn't make it. Hearing the roar as the bus turned the corner, the chants as the players get close, and the city collectively realising that this was all real. Don't let anyone tell you any different - the League Cup is massive, and so are we.

Town is rammed, the Garter is full to bursting... Nature is healing.
-
If you're not going to the Town Moor, will it even be possible to see the bus route through town? Seems like it hits the motorway pretty early on too. I've accepted town will be heaving, but I genuinely don't know how to find a spot without going now

Still can't understand why Mac Allister was on marking Dan Burn
