  1. Can we get a rumours and facts round up? Do we know he feigned injury? Has he taken offence to Howe? If any of this is true, then we absolutely have to get rid and hopefully rinse some team as much as possible. He's good, but he's not that good. Provided we can use the funds to get two promising wingers I'm all for it.
  2. Aye, we need more technical players but we also need more leaders. I think Tripps will be a huge miss. He made a difference when he came on, and he's so assured with the refs. We need more of that.
  3. The passing out wide by us was so frustrating yesterday, either because A) Nobody was actually there (Barnes drifting into the middle of the park or Elanga hiding behind the opposition) Or B) Once passed out wide the idea was to just run to the corner or the byline. It's like they'd been told to score a goal you need to kick the ball off the corner flag. Was maddening to watch. On another note, it's also so frustrating that literally everyone is looking for the pass rather than the shot, even if they're in a good position to have a pop.
  4. I want Eddie to stay, but there is something in that. I remember the interview where he said there's no plan B, we just need to do plan A right. I wonder if he's still holding out for a realisation of his 'plan A'. I was at the match yesterday, and I just couldn't see a plan at all. Whether that is down to Eddie or the players or both is open to interpretation. It really seemed like the players didn't have a game plan they were willing to follow. I think the team unity is under threat as differing individual motivations take over e.g world Cup, transfers away, being on the beach, nothing to play for etc, so a coherent plan can't be executed. Maybe that's too soft on Eddie, but the man won a trophy for us and gave us memorable cup, Premier and champions league runs, so I still have time for the man. Something needs to change though, there's no doubt about that.

    Jacob Ramsey

Agreed. He also knows how to run forward with the ball, which is a massive plus.
  6. The season at this stage is a write off, so let's prep for the future. Shift Osula to the right, get Park on the left and hoy Woltemade up top. At this stage, why not.
  7. This lad was clearly still ill yesterday. Came to take the corner and it looked like he was about to keel over . Was absolutely blowing, and yet still had more passion than the rest of the team combined. Keep at all costs.
  8. This man needs a sports psychologist. He's clearly physically capable, but his confidence is so shot he might as well be playing for the other team. He seems like a nice guy, and I want him to succeed, but unless his head is sorted out, I'm not sure if he ever recovers from this.

    Harvey Barnes

He's got a clinical shot on him but my word he was poor today. Didn't even have a shot on goal. It also looked like at some points he was trying to play through the middle.
  10. Was at the game today and wew. If you can even hear the library that is the East Stand start booing, then you know something is wrong. Seemed like a real mix of players trying, players at the beach, and players already at the World Cup. No cohesion, certainly no intensity or identity. Eddie has a big job to do in the summer.
  11. Great effort today. Ran and ran and ran with absolutely no service to him at all. His goal wasn't an easy one either. MoTM material.

    Nick Woltemade

Aye, really want this lad to start and be a success.
  13. Ah kna it's a Mackem talking point, but it did happen in some circles whether we want to admit it or not. Plenty of media at the time picked up on it too (eg https://www.skysports.com/football/news/2277260/robson-hurt-by-boo-boys) I feel like this Howe Out stuff has parallels, and I don't think that is a radical observation
  14. If not Howe then who? Says the fan base that hounded out Sir Bobby Robson. No safety smiley.
  15. What a perfect champions league night.
  16. Who on earth are people expecting to get in over Howe? And is it remotely realistic to get someone better?
  17. Well we can't have @Curva Sud Milano killing themselves. Sign the lad up!
  18. So, will we go back in for Trafford you reckon?
  19. Ah this is a sad one. Probably the right time, but he's a proper professional and a real leader. A player of his calibre is a loss.
  20. Hasn't had the flair coached out of him yet. Looks promising.
  21. A confidence player for sure, but he's got something in his locker so long as confidence is high.
  22. Just seen the results, if we can beat Liverpool to a Champions League place man... Just imagine
