I think this is a bore draw going to penalties. Donnarumma heroics in the shootout.

Rooney lost something when he went to manure. He mightve become a better team player and perhaps even a better overall footballer but he lost that youthfull confidence he had. Definately a 'great' though

Yeah Pickfords done really well. Hes one of those keepers who has the occasional howler in him but so do Maguire and Stones. My worry is that the stars will align and all 3 will have a mare at the same moment or in the same game. But the 3 of them have done well so i cant really complain. Southgate and his defensive coaches also need a big pat on the back.

Obviously you cant deny a takeover due to foreign state influence when a member of the PL is under the influence of a foreign state! The match fixing stuff is new to me - are we talking about Fergie-time? or something more sinister??

The china job was a no brainer for him - free reign to shape the club from top to bottom??? He was always gonna be all over something like that regardless of where it was. The everton job is a no brainer, but for different reasons. Good luck to him. I wish he was waiting for the takeover to go through and coming back but hes still got to think about his family and career.

Mate of mine reckons that Eriksens collapse was the best thing to have happenned to Denmark as its completely focused and united them.

Ive made comments in here before about having a functioning team instead of just playing your 'best' players. I think Southgate has found that team. Its a delicate balance and i cant help but feel were carrying Kane and are overly cautious in midfield but it seems to be working
