It's devastating crack and I, for one, am considering transitioning to being a mackem. Even if it was ironic the way plenty of them lap it up is laughable.

SYP ended up with their numbers stuck on a strip to stop them juggling the numbers round, mental. Like a badge of shame. I was at the spurs FA cup game,on my own as my mate never turned up, I was at the back and the crush was horrendous, I thought they did open the side pens after a while? Loads of bother on 7 sisters road, saw a guy pick up his wife and throw her through the window of prestos, coppers gave him a right hiding. Cheap as chips to get in to the match, stunk of piss, tabs, hot dogs, BO. That was just me like. Cash on the gate with 35k in and rammed, all ticket with 35k in and loads of room, I wonder how much cash was being skimmed off?

Seasons we compete in Europe we are stretched too thin, seasons we don't compete in Europe we are good enough to qualify for it. Our finances dictate this, what a difference would a new manager make? I would give him another 5 years then we will see.

He meant the Stage door.

It's a good laugh and I think some of them get the joke but a few are actually angry about it. Does it not occur to them that a business might want to be linked to a city that is going to bring more customers in? Not many outside Sunderland are pretending to be in Sunderland.

The mental gymnastics in that thread are just, well, mental. He is both shite and so good bigger clubs want him but despite being so good and them wanting him we will get nowt for him. All based on one of those Facebook sport things that appear all the time and are clearly piss poor click bait.

Of any significant size city in the UK they must be one of the least diverse. This guy has their number.

RTG is a joy like, we lose and the thread is left in the open for days to run and run, we win and withing seconds it sent to the online shame dungeon where it is folded into another thread, there must be a mod with his finger hovering over the send button.

Something I read on a PSV forum before we played them, a fan of theirs saying " too big to be a serviette, too small to be a table cloth". Using Google translate, I don't speak Dutch. I assume it's a common Dutch saying. We qualify for Europe and do ok in the league and FA cups and we have way too many games for our squad strength which is dictated by our finances. We might do ok but it's a gamble on injuries. Right now, assuming we go out at Villa on Saturday but make the last 16 champions league I would consider it a decent season, provided we end up with a place in Europe. Half way through February and still in with a chance of winning the C.L. Even if we don't make Europe, that's no reason to gamble on some random manager. This is how far we have come, under Eddie Howe. We were the down and outs man, nailed on for relegation. It's only about 5% but some of our fans are whiny fickle short memories knackers. Probably about the same as other clubs. Just getting a lot of focus after our recent mild success. Plus, I am 65 and I finally got to see us lift a trophy.

Some very short memories on here.

Loads of empty seats at the end.

Watching them now, they are very well drilled. This isn't the season I was expecting. Pleased for my Sunderland supporting family. Through gritted teeth.

Loads, to get angry about how Newcastle gets top billing over Sunderland. The same crew who watch Look North to get angry about it.

He does get away with a lot IMHO, for some reason the refs seem to like him. He is like a big cuddly teddy bear who could rip your face of if he wanted. I used to live down there ( City Road) and the roar would hit my house before the ball went in the net on the TV.

Have they not got anymore long serving minimum wage staff left they could treat like shit and get rid of? That seems to have sorted everything out so far.

Just had a skim of RTG, 20 threads on the first page on pure football about this Sunday's game, not including the one dedicated to it., lord knows what it's like in their online shame dungeon. Massive club.

Trump applauding himself, the clueless bamp.

Better than Liverpool, but that's nowt nowadays. Having said that, they look good.

You also have to wonder what universe he is in where buying us could enable them to " take over football".

Dreadful, lack lustre half arsed can't be bothered. Half a second behind most of the game, lacking imagination, no plan A never mind B and C. Little running off the ball, so many poor passes. All I can think is there has been flu in the squad for weeks. Something is wrong.

Since Fender praised the region rather than the city, they have now resorted to slagging off the region, including themselves. Imagine liking where you are from and getting a bit carried away at an awards ceremony.

He does bang on about his support for us and he is a success. There is nowt some people in the North East hate more than someone being successful. If they had any class they would ignore him.
