  1. So, have the Premier League made any comment at all since PIF pulled out? Do we think they're likely to? Or will the just keep their heads down and ignore it like they have for the rest of the process?
  2. So, after all this, who are the EPL accountable to? Is there no legal recourse over a mess like this? I mean, I suppose the be all and end all is what's written in their fit and proper owner's test, but are they liable to anyone or anything to ensure that their test itself is fair and legal? Especially if they're making unprecedented demands. The whole saga around the Prem stinks of corruption, it's up there with Sep Blatter's lot at FIFA.
  3. Nothing to stop them if it turns out we were screwed over by Ashley's greed, plus the top clubs wouldn't be bothered with stopping Man Utd as they're already at the table of big spenders.
  4. I suppose I should put my long held, out-of-date brown ale back in the garage, no need for it for the foreseeable. Half the problem with this whole thing is that even if we were to get bought out by someone else now we, even though we'd finally be rid of Ashley, the shine will be taken off it because it's extremely unlikely they would have the funds to invest int he club and surrounding area like the Saudis. The whole situation has ruined everything, all thanks to the EPL, I already hated Ashley but he's always been a greedy cunt, if the Prem had done their tests in a reasonable time the whole exclusivity clause expiring would have been a moot point.
  5. You watch the Saudis invest in another team now and it go through straight away with no quibbles, either here or abroad. F***ing hate Mike Ashley, what an utter, utter, utter clap ridden rapist's cum stain he is.
  6. But Henry Mauriss will bid £350m don't you know, the Saudis needed to match that or better it. It's through hysterical laughter but the potentially Ashley has f*cked us over twice with mega rich owners if that turns out to be the case, fucking fat parasite.
  7. Is it safe to say that between the PL's dithering and Ashleys greed (after terms expired) that's what killed it GM? That's the thing, we now need to know exactly why it all fell through. You can be sure that the Ashley PR machine will be in full swing to make out the Saudis were tyre kickers, while the Prem will say they did all they could. Is there anyone else even close to being of a level of wealth that would buy us and get us to compete with the top clubs in the world? Back to square one, back to ignoring what happens at the club, back to no interest in football.
  8. So basically, what PIFs statement is saying is they've been dicked around for so long they've decided to ditch it. I blame the prem for this, should never have taken this long. How very typically Newcastle United.
  9. Could the delay from Ashley not just be that he didn't have the logistics ready and in place for when the money is transferred? Or is that not a thing?
  10. A lot of my thoughts here Agreed, I would love it if they took the Prem to the cleaners, for all this fannying around and unnecessary grief. I'm feeling extremely spiteful towards the league and all those getting in the way of us progressing to where we want to be.
  11. At this point in time I fucking hate the Premier League. Fancy ruining the dreams of an entire fanbase, the possible redevelopment and investment of an entire region and the continued subduing of a supposed sleeping giant of a club. What a bunch of utter, utter c*nts
  12. So now we're getting more and more of this stuff about an exclusivity clause expiring and Ashley pushing for this Mauriss bloke to cut in and buy us instead of the Saudis. If that happens we'll have been robbed of realising our potential at last and I'd find myself blaming the Prem for it. In my eyes we wouldn't be in any better position than we are now, being bought out by an Ashley stooge who, as far as I can tell, doesn't have any more money to spend on a football team than Ashley. I suspect, if the Saudi deal doesn't happen, it'll finish footy off for me. I just can't put up with another stint of having an equally useless, unambitious owner.
  13. St James fenced off, SD signs not in sight (allegedly)... could it be? ... probably not
  14. Had some cracking nights out in Leeds, it's been more rugby than football for years though.
  15. Wednesday's letter day isn't it? Some new evidence surfacing or objection from Hatice.
  16. The longer this goes on with the Prem the harder it will be for them to reject it and then uphold that rejection against an appeal without it looking like some sort of corruption leading back to the Qataris.
  17. I don't want Mauriss, his links to Ashley and the fact he's allegedly trying to hijack the deal against what would give us the weathiest owners in the world make him unpalatable to say the least! Never have liked bloody queue-jumpers, we're British you know!
  18. While I don't think he's a high enough calibre of manager that we should be employing, I still don't think he necessarily deserves all the abuse he gets from some quarters. In fact some of that stuff on twitter previously was pretty disgusting. At one time I was angry with him for taking Ashley's shilling but I'm over that now. He's only done what he's been able to do and what he's been asked to do - I'm sure he wasn't lying when he said he was brought in to ensure Newcastle were playing Premiership football next season, that's about as high as ambitions get with Ashley owning us, league survival. It's a shame Bruce isn't a better manager but I find I just can't have a pop at him when he's accomplished his mission for this season, albeit perhaps with some help from other teams being in a worse situation.
