  1. Any sign of any anti-Bruce chants? Hopefully folk will concentrate on anti-PL stuff instead.
  2. "Fizzing at the gash" Reminds me of my Roger's Profanisaurus
  3. Arsenal being linked to Woodman again, I wonder if we could include him in a deal for Willock.
  4. Let's face it, they've got away with it so far for the entirety of this season. You've got to wonder if it'll ever be sorted without someone appealing or it carrying on in another fashion, it's so fucking tedious supporting this zombie club right now and has been for ages. ... shit, just realised this is the positive thread
  5. I guess there could be an argument to be had over clarification of what is a reasonable timescale to reject if someone flat out refuses to provide further information from the buying party, but then, does that lead to an argument over what is deemed as reasonable proof of the division between state and PIF?
  6. This thread is actually cheering me up after all, I thought today was a loss
  7. Out of curiosity, is there already precedence of the EPL letting sales go through under worse circumstances? I'm sure I read somewhere someone saying about Crystal Palace's owners not being divulged for example. I'm feeling a bit negative about it all today (hence I'm in this thread), I'm just fed up with it and my fear is that money and corruption in the PL reign supreme. What with the recent bullshit with the ESL and the those clubs involved still being bummed by the league and media, without any punishment given. Then the obvious concerns that people in power (judges, etc) being able to be bought for the right price, I'm not feeling optimistic at all. ... then again, it could be lack of sleep putting me on a downer.
  8. Some weird posters in this thread sometimes... Anyway, why always with the damn extensions? FFS, like they don't have time to sort their shit out sooner. Amusing that the PL weren't allowed access to the evidence though, probably so they could make stuff disappear beforehand ?
  9. Just another contract play probably
  10. Strewth, are you lot still whittling on about this? In more important news (and likely to affect any possible takeover in a positive manner), looks like Fulham have blown it. Any further move for the club would most likely have been tied in quite close to us definitely staying up imo, happy days!
  11. Fuck me this is tedious, not this thread, but the constant wanky bollocks about 'realism' and why we shouldn't have two threads, wah wah wah. Just get over it, fuck off to the standard thread with your 'realism', etc. I barely look at as many threads these days as I used to, but when I this is the thread I want to read. I don't care whether it's rumours by Paddy McGinty's fucking goat or some space cadet on Twitter, I don't want to hear or read about negative shit or why people don't think this takeover will happen. The takeover is my last bastion of hope for NUFC and this thread, on here, is my port of call to keep me thinking positive fucking thoughts about it. Now, I'm sure there will be a handful of cunts on here who find that hilarious to themselves or maybe even get some sad kick from pissing on the chips of people like me, but guess what, we exist and we don't give a flying fuck what you bellends think - other than derailing or generally causing annoyance in a thread which is clearly labelled. Fucksticks.
  12. Man Utd's away kit today looked bloody awful! As is that Liverpuke one.
  13. It's a lose/lose for the Prem - if the they hold out and fight it they'll get bent over and nailed to oblivion. If they suddenly decide after all this time to just settle and accept it, waving the takeover through, they'll be seen as bricking it because they have something to hide. I just can't see how it can play out in their favour, unless the whole evidence thing is bluster and the Prem are actually cleaner than everyone seems to think.
  14. Hoffman to Masters, using his pet name Barbara:
  15. Bandwagon jumping protests is why they get hijacked by pricks that only go there to cause trouble. I have yet to see a good reason for our fans to protest at the current time, unless it's against the supposed top teams not getting any punishment for their ESL actions.
  16. Delusion is often bandied about by the media for our supporters, I think if anyone seriously thinks having a protest about Mike Ashley's reign off the back of these supposed top six clubs would have any impact whatsoever on what other team's supporters might think could well be fitting that bill. We don't have it as bad as them, we're not as important and we shouldn't expect things above our station, that's how we're seen, to other supporters it's doubtful we'd even be an afterthought.
  17. For me, it's more that it seems to be jumping on the protest bandwagon for the sake of it. What exactly is the aim of a protest right now? The club are already aware they we don't like the owner and want them out and we're currently waiting on an arbitration to complete before anything else happens. There's not much else anyone can do, the club's not going to be sold any quicker and the current owner isn't going to spend anything improving things while things are in the works (not that he would anyway). So all in all, a protest at our ground serves no purpose, other than perhaps reinforcing the so called top six's belief that they're move important than the rest of us.
  18. I don't see the point in a protest right now, let the so called big six wreck their own stadiums. We've got a takeover to think about and a relegation to fight against, two things which might be related. This just seem like an excuse to cause trouble and look like wankers.
  19. But why? Is it just jealousy? I mean, I live near Peterborough and yes, it's a bit of a dive, not what I'd necessarily call a football city either... but it's no Sunderland. During our low times I've often had Peterborough as a bit of a second team, they're usually pretty good with their local community and the fans aren't nearly as fanatical or arsey as some I've seen.
