  1. Fans. Don't think it was a minority thing either really, would guess it was a 50/50 thing.
  2. Kid Icarus

    Footy trivia

Feel like there should be more Beckham Ferdinand Lampard Terry Carragher Heskey James
  3. Yeah that one's being submitted as the away kit, this one (or another one I might end up with) is the third.
  4. You're on the right lines here, but not the Uni. Hmm, maybe if it's not obvious straight away then it's back to the drawing board.
  5. It's never been referenced before basically. It's Newcastle (not the club) based though
  6. Entering a competition soon with some Newcastle kit designs I've done. Totally get that there'll be people who think this design is shite, but just as a disclaimer, the idea with this one is to do something a bit out there and original. My question to you is this, can you tell from looking at this what Newcastle-associated thing influenced the design/colour scheme (jokes aside). That's all I'm asking. Trying to work out whether it's obvious or I'm reaching a bit.
  7. Whether you think he should have or not is obviously a different story, but he did annoy people with the way he went on at the time, there's no two ways about that.
  8. Him leaving to get game time isn't what was weird and I think everyone knows that like.
  9. Nah, the people still talking about it now should tbh. Football is all about petty grievances around tribal lines. If a player ruffles feathers then fans should care rather than not. Down with this 'I don't care about anything because I'm just a chilled out dude' craic that comes predominantly from across the Atlantic and in reality just ends up with nothing being sacred and everything being sanitised and boring. Give me Dubravka's head.
  10. It's not about truth though, it's about keeping the N-O pigs (us) happy.
  11. It wasn't faux at all. A lot of people thought the way he acted about it all at the time was weird, and it was.
  12. It's delicious. Best kit we've had this century, easily
  13. Could say the limitations and negatives just aren't as exposed I guess. Sancho was basically Neymar in the Bundesliga. He comes back here and nigh on every defender can deal with him comfortably.
  14. Exactly. The player I think most matches up with Elanga on this one is Diaby. When we were linked with him you'd have thought we were signing an upcoming superstar.
  15. I know it's a cliche and I'm sure some eyes will roll, but if Elanga had never played in the Premier League and just put in those last two seasons in La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, or Bundesliga I have no doubt whatsoever that he'd be seen as a much bigger potential signing. Despite the quality, or physicality being below the PL, a player tearing it up abroad still holds that hype and glamour about it that the PL doesn't.
  16. He doesn't necessarily need to be that player. Howe will undoubtedly know that the low block is something we need to be better against. It just might not even be that he wants an unlocker player in the mould that he wanted with Maddison and Szoboslai, it could be that he wants us to do something that sidesteps it, or that he's seen a trend in the way football is going that means we can get around it without needing that player, or it might just be Joao Pedro, there are loads of possibilities.
  17. Give it a couple of years and Ikon will be going on about how Elanga is easily a better player than this other player we're being linked with and he doesn't rate.
  18. Don't think that's the market anymore. Beyond a certain point players like Rodrygo are basically unaffordable for 99.9% of teams because of how inflated the market is at the bottom. A couple of years ago Wirtz would have been a £70m player, but teams have cottoned on to the money that's going around in the PL and rightly want a bigger cut.
