Keep having to remind myself that even when we were active a few years ago, our first signing wasn't until the 8th then the next one wasn't until the end of June. I tell myself it's only been 3 days, but really it's been like 150 or something when Lewis Hall was our last first team signing.

Comparisons on players in the same league I think it's decent. Being in whatever centile in the Premier League vs someone in the Eridivisie though and it's pretty worthless.

There's barely any difference

At the time England's number 1 was an aging and not as good David Seaman and David James. Think he'd have stood a really good chance tbh, he was easily the best number 2 in the league around '99 to '04.

I just can't see Joao Pedro being a player we go for at that price like, even putting quality to one side it would be crazy money for a player injured that much.

Remember playing Metz around then too and despite them not being great Robert Pires looked absolutely class.

Just as easy to put us all in a position where it doesn't benefit us. ie the opposite of Mitrovic a couple of years back. Just seems like another change that wasn't needed and no one asked for.
