  1. It was disgusting at the time. It helped a lot that nothing happened at another PL club, I'd be right with you if it had.
  2. Be happy that he was here at all Mike.
  3. I remember that match very well because I had to celebrate that goal while also making sure not to wake someone up. Like you say, if he means the team he's right, if he means HBA he's very wrong. The goal was very much a case of him being like 'right, fuck this, I'll do it" Sat the ref on his arse a few minutes later as well.
  4. I'm sold based on that.
  5. Best thing about kerbs was when one player was way behind and started asking "how many points if I get it from here?"
  6. Nothing but we played SPOTTHEDOG to make it last longer.
  7. West Ham 2-1 Wolves Arsenal 2-1 Bournemouth Brentford 2-1 Everton Burnley 1-2 Brighton Liverpool 3-2 Fulham Palace 2-1 Newcastle Forest 2-1 Villa Sunderland 1-2 Spurs Chelsea 0-2 Man City Man United 2-1 Leeds
  8. Yous are doing the wrong "Good goal, but" Thankfully Michael bodys is here to keep us in check.
  9. I think we maybe only did this, but any volleys caught (and held) by the 'keeper, without it touching the ground meant the volleying player goes straight in nets, regardless of any score. Was like an equaliser thing to stop scores racking up keeping someone in net forever, and forced you to take shots that could only be saved but not caught.
  10. Watching the highlights there and I just can't help but find the decisions after 2-0 jarring like. Just seen far too much shenanigans to not have a conspirators mind.
  11. Getting robbed of victories away to PSG isn't for everyone.
  12. Would rather we signed U-God from Wu Tang Clan, and not only is he the worst one, but he's also not even a footballer.
  13. If they bottle the league as well man.
  14. He's very good at identifying players, but his craic recently about Howe has been absolutely shite. Another 'engagement' whore unfortunately.
  15. Slight ITK info. Relations of my best mate work in construction - one tool hire and one scaffolding. Howe has been getting a lot of renovation work done (scaffolding) and the tool hire company have delivered to Tindall's loads recently. Not entirely sure what it could mean tbh, if they own their houses its maybe a good sign, but if they're rented it's bad? Dunno.
  16. When we were linked with him we were just like aye whatever. Then as it kept getting traction. That January was a revolution like, relegation to Champions League candidates more or less overnight.
  17. Can only repeat what everyone else is saying and we've all been saying for years. Legend. Incredible footballer and leader. One of the best players and became easily the best RB I'd ever seen in my 35 odd years of supporting the club within about 5 games of joining. Nothing but love for him as a footballer and for what he did for us as a player and captain. The man has a handful of 10/10 matches for us, which would be rare on its own, but one of them being a cup final during a time when he wasn't anywhere near his peak was just incredible. Not only was it a 10/10 but it was possibly the nearest I've ever seen to a flawless performance. He fouled Diaz once in the first half and the ball hit his hand, beyond that everything else he did in the match was perfect. Time is a bastard, what we'd all give for him to be even 3 years younger.
  18. Hmm I don't agree like. A player who had just bagged 20 goals in the league, could play across the front line, good positioning, can score tap ins and from range, decent enough in the air, with a very good shot conversion rate, good record against the big boys, and an amazing injury record. He was 29 obviously and we did pay a premium, but the idea was that he was supposed to be plug and play. I don't think it was a bad move without the benefit of hindsight. Maybe when he went on strike we should have reassessed though, but we were in a bad position where we had a guaranteed 20-30 goals leaving and a 1 in 2.5ish back up (when he played) leaving as well. Wissa was the obvious plug and play replacement really. I don't think we'd be arsed about paying a bit over the odds if it had worked as planned and I don't think anyone thought it would have gone as bad as it has.
  19. I dunno, I think him getting an MCL despite having this injury record is something you can't really mitigate for. I dunno what happened, but with hindsight we should have banned him from international duty when he'd no pre-season. You could probably argue that we should have moved on when he went on strike too tbf. All easy to say with hindsight though.
  20. Think we ended up in a do or die situation with Isak and Wilson leaving and a daft amount of replacements (that all would have been brilliant) going elsewhere. Wissa is one that still absolutely made sense too, it just ended up being a disaster this season for a few reasons.
  21. From the sounds of it they were all spinning multiple plates, understandably struggled through lack of experience and overwork, and then Jamie Reuben only got involved right near the end with Sesko, Woltemade, and Isak, and PIF only got involved with Isak. Mad that Reuben and PIF completely escaped the blame and the people who stepped up took all the flack.
  22. Tbf he hasn't been taken off sales, he wasn't ever supposed to be there and only was temporarily because he stepped up when the club was left in the shit with no CEO, no DoF, and no contingency plan.
  23. We're always linked with him like. Are we signing that Brazilian Eduardo kid as well? Sometimes you watch these highlights and talk yourself into thinking they have potential, those highlights are ridiculous though, he looks fucking incredible. Nearest thing I've seen to HBA in terms of dribbling.
  24. I feel you like. I can remember stuff like that and who scored in some of our matches from years ago but I also regularly can't remember where I've put my hat. Before the Ramsey mistake we had Hall going arse over tit, Burn playing everyone on, Thiaw getting caught in possession as last man (not punished), Gordon misplaced pass followed by Trippier getting caught and then giving away a pen, Ramsdale not coming for a cross (surprise), Thiaw getting bamboozled by a through ball that was straight at him and slipping, then Ramsey's mistake which admittedly was the most egregious. I agree they're not down to Eddie, I even hesitate to blame the players ('keepers aside) for the most part.
