  1. 31% of the fanbase (not even counting non-football fans) opposing it at the time doesn't line up with 'not a peep of opposition' like. Totally different circumstances then as well.
  2. I would absolutely take on board the argument of more seats meaning more access to matches for kids and people who can't afford it if there was even a slither of evidence to back it up, but as far as I can tell it's only the opposite. There being more day trippers, more VIP seats and higher ticket prices are there to see almost across the board. We've already had someone on here being priced out of their season ticket at Newcastle. This idea that it's going to help the little man seems like a bit of a fantasy.
  3. I should say I've probably got more hard line about staying over the years for a number of reasons. SJP is for me personally an intrinsic part of what it means to be a Newcastle fan. Losing that with it never to return means potentially losing a huge part of my emotional connection with the club. Then the other factors for me are: the sterility and 'matchday experience' of modern stadiums that some people love but I can't stand. Other clubs getting new stadiums and their fans wishing they hadn't left/preferring their old stadium. Stadium moves resulting in an increase of: ticket prices, tourist fans, matchday experience gimmicks/distractions and a decrease in atmosphere
  4. I just thought it would be interesting to see what everyone's thoughts are re stadium expansion vs moving, rather than what's happening at the moment which seems to be posters on both sides of the argument thinking that they represent a majority opinion. A couple of things to bear in mind off the top of my head, but I'm sure there'll be others: Vote splitting: It's limited to 4 options to try and not split the vote, but ultimately options 1 and 2 are at present votes to stay and 3 and 4 are votes to leave. Age bias: As with most online surveys you're less likely to get the opinion of older generations but with N-O in particular it's going to be heavily Millenials (27 to 42) and Gen Xers (43 to 58) so probably won't be representative of younger fans either.
  5. If Chelsea and Man United are the ideal two teams to be in for one of your players, Spurs and Newcastle must be the opposite
  6. Would be interested to see what the polling would be on it like. Probably a better indicator than everyone thinking they're speaking on behalf of the majority.
  7. NUFC Blog single handedly made it uninhabited imo
  8. We could walk away 3,000 miles and still not get to where yous are 'around' (safety )
  9. Newsnow was basically the twitter feed of 2004-10ish, things haven't changed that much like.
  10. Increasing the East Stand to have a capacity of 16,000 from 6,000 seems unlikely. Would love to see the mock ups.
  11. Can definitely understand why but Man United are known for being a soft touch now.
  12. Geordies like us love Tonali N.U.F to the C He's walking on air He always delivers, through free kicks, on every corner To the tune of Atmosphere by Joy Division
  13. Ohhh I wanna dance with Tonali I wanna win the league with Tonali Yeah I wanna dance with Tonali With Tonali who loves iz
  14. Not to mention that Thuram also played really well.
  15. Presumably we can agree that it's the 'state providing financial support' part that's important here rather than the method? Man City (legally and now potentially in breach of FFP) PSG (legally and in breach of FFP) Real Madrid (legally and illegally) Chelsea and Leicester (indirectly and in breach of FFP) all illegally: Barcelona, Valentin, Athletic Bilbao, Osasuna, Elche, Hurcules I should say as well, my point here isn't that it's all fine, it's that it's all fucked up and that Neville is just being inconsistent.
  16. Neville really is a reactionary tool like. The 'integrity' of the Premier League ffs. What integrity would that be? I'm all for slagging off MBS to the hilt, but there's literally nothing the teams in the Saudi league are doing that hasn't been done countless times before here there and everywhere. It's unbelievable how clueless and naive that bloke is.
  17. Which sadistic freak came up with this thread title?
  18. Ashworth walking around Italy exactly like this
  19. All this talk of Pirlo makes this worth posting again. No visuals have ever suited smooth jazz as much as this.
  20. Kid Icarus

    Lookalikes

He has that hair where people will say he looks like every person with similar hair. Pirlo, Brandon Boyd, Adam Driver, our very own Slim etc.
