What a guy. Easy to forget that his body's still developing as well. When his legs catch up with his brain he's going to be some player.

Deserved in the end just about, but we're fucking knackered like We've played better in recent weeks and lost and in the end it was a match where it felt like the result was the only thing that mattered. Pope: 5 Trippier: 6.5 Schär: 7.5 Botman: 7.5 Burn: 7.5 Longstaff: 6 Bruno: 6.5 Willock: 8 Murphy: 6.5 Isak: 8.5 ASM: 7 Almiron: 7.5 Wilson: 6

Jimenez turns into Pope imo. Having said that, I'm still shocked it wasn't a pen and wouldn't have had any complaints if it was given.

Him vs Targett wouldn't have been a picnic either, going by their previous encounters -

If you're going with an effort and impact = you start way of managing, Murphy has probably earned it more than most tbf, and I say that as someone who doesn't rate him -
Arsenal haven't been in the CL for 6 years like.

Seeing Walcott running through treacle at the end of his career makes me feel so old I was 21 when he got in that World Cup squad.
-
Shite ball by Che Adams there. Ridiculous how wasteful Southampton are being
-
Still yet to see Sancho even hint at looking good for Man United.
-
Feel like a spawny Man United winner is inevitable
-
Southampton should be ahead.
-
I wasn't all that impressed with them the other night. They deservedly won but Betis could have done better imo.
-
It's so fucking annoying how Man United have looked shit immediately after the EFL Cup final. Casemiro really dropped off after that match.
-
That's a red. Dirty cabbage-patch faced cunt.
-
4. We gave them 36% of their 11 points.
-
Southampton all over Man United at this moment in tyyyyme
-
Looks on to me

It's mainly the posters of a certain vintage saying that MOTD was better last night. You all couldn't be more of a stereotype if you tried like
-
That's within reason imo.
-
Fucking hell When you think of the teams this league's had as well. Like that Derby team.
-
1-0 Man City
-
Not sure what you mean? I know they matter to them, I'm just saying what these things are supposed to be imo, obviously within reason. Even then they're still not beholden in the way other programmes are - to advertisers.
-
As is anything that's profitable. It's not unique to football that it's been evermore monetised into meaninglessness. It happens to most things. It wasn't always this bad though, nor does it have anything to do with why people love the actual game itself. If anything it's only made it more popular, more global, more profitable, but ultimately worse imo.
-
The whole idea of something like MOTD is that it isn't supposed to be that it 'survives' - it's not in the ratings business like other programmes are. It's not beholden to advertisers, it's a public institution that's beholden to the public, on what's supposed to be the public's broadcaster. It's not enough that capitalism ruins everything it touches, we have to use its metrics as a measure of success as well. Nothing can just exist as a public good, it has to justify itself over and over again on this insane model of infinite growth.
