Castore doesn't strike me as a brand that'll still be around in a few years tbh. Just a gut feeling based on how they go on.
-
By bringing up the Ashley years. So suddenly we're onto this idea that other club's fans didn't get more up for a match vs us than say Southampton, which I think is nonsense, but also not worth getting into. It's fine, you think the away fans that come up here and rate our atmosphere highly are saying it for clicks (despite that not making any sense) or for some other reason that means it's not a genuine opinion. No point in arguing with anyone who thinks like that.
-
You're changing the subject there like, so I'll leave it there.
-
Some serious recently divorced 'maybe love isn't for me' stuff going on with our fans like I mean that in the nicest possible way
-
If they're experiencing it first hand, it's not reputation. I dunno why you can't accept others who come up here think we have a great atmosphere like, it's hardly controversial. Easy to forget as well that when we go to away matches, we're seeing their atmosphere at home to Newcastle, we don't get to see what they're like at home to Bournemouth, Brentford and Southampton. When we hear what it's like at away grounds we should be comparing like-for-like, to our home matches against say Everton or Villa.
-
Your experience is just as relevant as the countless opposition fans who big us up and these experiences are all opinions. I don't disagree with you about our atmosphere, my only point is that things aren't as bleak as they could be, we're starting from a point where we have a reputation for having one of the best atmospheres in the country.
-
Nah, they have every reason to not put us near the top, they don't. It might not be easy to accept but it's probably just that they're telling the truth.
-
As I say, if that's the narrative, going against that would be in these channels best interests. Comments and downvotes are just as beneficial to them because it drives interaction and advertiser revenue, but they don't do that either. There's no reason for them to lie. You don't have to agree with them, but they're pretty obviously being sincere.
-
Getting pulled apart, ie driving 'interaction' in the way that TalkSport do is also in their best interests. But they don't.
-
This point makes no sense. If it was their intention to tell people what they want to hear, do it for the likes, and play to the masses, then they wouldn't be ranking Newcastle, Leeds, and Palace at the top, it would be Man United and Liverpool, or even Arsenal, all who have several thousand times the online presence we do and who would bring in more likes, shares, subscriptions. But they don't. Again, they have no reason to lie. Nor do the people with the most upvoted comments saying exactly the same thing.
-
That would suggest he should be nearer 13 goals so far this season which imo adds up, I can definitely think of 4 off the top of my head so there being an additional 1 or 2 he should have scored makes sense.

No reason at all to not improve, but I don't buy this idea that we look rubbish compared to other clubs home support stuff at all. Every single time a list of best home atmospheres comes up on TikTok, YouTube etc from away day support channels you can guarantee that Newcastle or Leeds will be voted 1 or 2 (with the occasional Crystal Palace) and there'll be comments liked in the thousands backing it up from people around the country. The fans making these lists, most have done every stadium in the Premier League, they have no reason to lie. We know how good it can be, so there's the danger of thinking that a bad day compared to our best is bad overall, when it's comparatively very good. Like I say, there's no reason to not improve, we all want the best atmosphere possible, but there's no need to be despondent about it, we're trying to improve from the position of having one of - if not THE - most highly regarded atmospheres in the country.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford
Kid Icarus replied to cp40's topic in Football
Conte at Spurs had a slither of Ancelotti at Everton for me. A real coup for the club and the manager knowing they can do better. -
Blind doesn’t always mean totally blind anymore.

Of course Perez scored, we're past the solstice

Don't make the mistake of thinking Twitter is representative. They're definitely not and you'll drive yourself nuts if you think they are, the 'Twitter fan' is a different breed that's genuinely brain-damaged and isn't unique to us, they're like that across the fanbases.

The atmosphere sounds shite considering
-
Yes him! Cheers for finding him. Yeah, he should definitely be on more, he often says exactly what I'm hoping one of them will say but doesn't.

Roobenstein and Magpie Channel TV are the only 2 alike I reckon. If Gallowgate Shots just had maybe a bit more insight it would be ideal.

I feel like I've met like 10 Kris's in my life like. Either working in call centres or at Krash in the early 2000s
-
My lass's old man's just texted me to go through what happened in this match, event by event. Sounds absolutely mad like
-
Yeah it's easily the best like. I can't remember his name, but the lad who's very rarely on, mid-30s, sort of dark ginger hair, he's really good and should be on more often.
-
Good plan, I was hoping they'd go off and get some warm weather training
-
Wouldn't surprise me at all if they no longer existed by then.

Ibe is the only real dud signing in his history and that's been reported as being largely down to his own demons with depression.
