  1. I just think it's dreary and the verses go on and on and on. Think Home Newcastle captures the feeling of Newcastle far better but each to their own. No problem with Nail like, although my mother in law was seeing him years ago and reckons he's a dickhead.
  2. You'd be absolutely tearing your hair out tbf. Lose 5-0 to your biggest rivals, bounce back with a 3-0 win against a club that then goes and brings in the manager you wanted. Absolutely brutal
  3. Possibly an unpopular opinion but I hope that song doesn't start to catch on as an anthem for Newcastle like.
  4. Lee Ryder will be all over this
  5. Absolutely nowhere for Spurs to go if they somehow fuck this up. Incredible appointment by them
  6. That Caulkin piece straight after Bruce was sacked said exactly that. That it was nice at first because Rafa was so intense, but then they craved the attention to detail
  7. A very sensible choice imo.
  8. No doubt in my mind that he's fickle and will turn it up to 11 if Conte's his manager. Watch his interview with Neville if you haven't. The stuff he says about ambition and about loving The Last Dance and if you've watched that he'll probably see Conte as his Phil Jackson.
  9. Whatever happens it's going to be really interesting. Spurs either become a real force or barring a Levy fuck up, Conte takes a notch off his reputation.
  10. Hindsight might show us that the alternative is even worse, who knows
  11. Imagine having money though. I'd have been wearing capes and crowns and shit.
  12. Can't even imagine the ridiculous shit I'd have worn if I'd had any money in my early 20s tbf.
  13. Tifo did a Who should Newcastle sign in January? video. Guess who they left in. I like Ritchie because I know he's always putting the graft in, have a real soft spot for him from past performances, and just generally like him (knowing he called Bruce a coward helps) but my God he shouldn't be playing left back.
  14. Dominic can you come on Monday Night Football and be a talking head? Dominic Calvert-Lewin: say no more
  15. Holgate strikes me as a bad footballer
  16. Feels like a typical Rafa improved 2nd half. A 2-2 wouldn't be surprising
  17. IIRC Stephen Hawking is dead and was paralysed from the neck down so if you're saying he still had more movement than Longstaff then he must have been really bad!
  18. For the current situation it would be: Rafa Emery ten Hag Fonseca If I had more confidence in getting a tune out of our players, it would definitely be ten Hag.
  19. An incredible case study in what quickly happens when football fans used to having nothing suddenly have the prospect of getting everything they've ever dreamt of. Some people are probably going to find out that they're just unhappy.
  20. I was surprised when Liverpool went for Jota and not Jiminez tbh, he seemed perfect as a bit of a Firmino understudy. Jota seems to be doing really well though.

Genuinely tragic the way people like that try to make their own empty lives have a higher purpose of meaning by latching onto fairy tales from the past that have nothing whatsoever to do with them. Classy commewneteye advocate King Alfred ffs.
  22. This is such a simplistic view on it, but it's absolutely right like.
  23. I try to be cautious with what I say about other clubs considering how often fans of other clubs get Newcastle completely wrong, but it does seem like he was on a hiding to nothing at Spurs and, in the circumstances, his record wasn't exactly terrible. I watched them against Man United the other night though and that was as poor a Spurs performance as I've seen since the days of Chris Armstrong being their main striker.
