Fergie stood by a player who literally kung-fu kicked someone in the stands

The fact this is coming from Man United fans is incredible. To be that unaware of your own club's history is embarrassing.
-
That's where I see him playing, but I don't think he's doing that right now like, I think you could argue that Longstaff's playing that role considering the positions he gets into to score.
-
Surprised Chelsea haven't been in for Rice like.
-
Considering he's a 23 year old who looks like he'll only get better, I don't think this is 'setting the bar low'
-
Yeah, Neves makes absolute sense now. I imagine he'd cost a bomb though.
-
Aye Odegaard's unreal, I didn't expect it to be that player that would be unlocked like. I was expecting someone maybe nearer De Jong or even Rakatic or Modric, he's much more skillful and attacking than I was expecting.

I missed the 1 in 10 bit. HBA scored or assisted at a rate of 1 in every 3.5 starts for Newcastle - far past every other player in the Newcastle squad at the time he left and on par with Juan Mata, another supposedly lazy wide player who Man United had just bought for £37 million at the time.
-
No one treats HBA like a God without their tongue in their cheek either like. He's the very definition of a cult hero and for me the player that made a few of the Pardew/Ashley years not just more bearable, but enjoyable. What's the point if you can't enjoy it and get excited by what you're watching? Teams like Newcastle under Ashley aren't getting anywhere near an unflawed Hatem Ben Arfa, he's going to Barca or Real Madrid for stupid money, so for that reason I'm happy he was flawed. Also, for a player that's apparently achieved fuck all, he's achieved a canny bit, even if the general perception of him is that he underachieved.

Looking elsewhere, I think it's fair to say that Heron's view on ASM's performance today is in the extreme minority
-
We are a top team and he's performing in that team, what standards are there to adjust? People said the same thing about Henderson and Wijnaldum for Liverpool, who imo would take him in an instant as the latter's replacement. He's a carrier, brilliant at the press, and a goal threat. He doesn't need to be anybody else, who he is and who he can go on to be (he's only 23 remember) is just fine.
-
You're nuts mate. I'll leave it at that. We won, I'm happy, and I'm happy with ASM's performance, including his work rate. I'm not gonna bring the mood down arguing in those circumstances
-
He was on for 45 minutes It was a match where nothing was hitting its mark, even from Trippier. They were all good balls and if anything not selfish enough. Find this all a bit weird tbh, it was an obviously decent performance, at least.
-
He also put in at least 3 threatening crosses, sucked in defenders, and didn't put a foot wrong on the ball. I'd get it if you just thought he was decent. To go on like that was a bad performance is nuts
-
You're off your tits
-
You on the wind up Heron? It was between him, Schär, and Almiron for MOTM.
-
Hearing rumours that his ankle has passed away
-
Shearer saying exactly what most of us have said, that if he works on his finishing he can be an unbelievable midfielder. It would be huge like, he gets 2 or 3 chances on average a game
-
I like Billing, but he's a last January signing at best tbh
-
I have to think on this like, but either way he’s been fucking class.
-
Another newcomer. Welcome to the forum! Never ever a pen imo. I've been more impeded by my shadow than Burn's tickle today
-
A slight breeze would have had more impact than Burn on their player. Discounting unconscious bias, I'd honestly say if I thought it was a pen and neither were imo.
-
He definitely doesn't go crunching into tackles, but now that you mention that, it's just dawned on me that all of our players rarely do that, it's nigh on always standing tackles unless they're really stretched.

You'd think Fergie wasn't their manager for 20 odd years
