I really like big Nick but that aspect of his game kills us. He really needs to work on it and his strength. -

Actually thought we were really good there. They're very good, but I'd like to see what they're like without the performance enhancing drugs and ref on the payroll. -

Best team in Europe, juiced to the gills, and the refs paid off. Un fucking real man. Actually think we've played well in the circumstances -

I honestly feel the same. That bit where Tonali was out paced and muscled by an actual child before. -

Not only have I never seen anything like it from a ref, I've never seen a situation that needs it less. -

It's PSG man, why is the ref adding an extra handicap -
Is this the newest thing to throw at Howe? Seems pretty clear that if youth prospects are good enough they'll play or be signed. Even in the 4 years Howe has been here he's regularly played Miley and Anderson from the academy and signed Lewis Hall. What sort of percentage of youth players who don't meet the expected standards of a team also expected to be competing to get in the CL still be playing? I don't even see the premise for the argument tbh, if anything it should be that they're loaned out to try and get them to improve that way.

Rock and hard place if we lose regardless though I'm sure you'd agree. In that situation the question is why we didn't play our strongest team.
-
Considering our patchy form and search for a winning formula, do you think we're in a position to do that and still get results?
-
The patterns of play out wide that have worked for the last 4 years and continue to have our wide players in space with the opportunity to play it across into the middle have evidently not stopped working up to a point. Why anyone says that when we still get those opportunities multiple times per match is beyond me. You might be understandably bored of seeing it, but that step in the attacking phase hasn't stopped working. It's often not even the next step of it that's an issue either - the quality of the final ball. It's nigh on always the very final step - the positioning and finishing of our attacking players. And they're all letting each other down because for all that Barnes might put in a ball that's on a plate at the back post but Gordon's not there, it often happens where Gordon does the same and Barnes isn't there, and that's just one example, with Woltemade and Wissa imo being the most guilty of poor positioning and finishing.
-
The one thing I notice more than anything is the amount of times players are in shooting positions on their weaker foot. It happens often with Murphy, Tonali, Joelinton, Barnes, and Hall. Bruno's the only player who seems to find the spaces to have a shot on his stronger foot. It's also what (in theory) should make Elanga such a good asset to have.

Don't think that factor should be underestimated mind. He was full rested before PSV.

Exactly, we have no problem getting in, it's that next bit where we consistently come up short. I think Wissa will fill that role soon enough like and potential would have been had he not got injured immediately.
