  1. Well this is exactly it. If I'm going to laugh my tits off at Lampard's tactical naivety in a 5-0 loss to Spurs, I can't suddenly think it's alright when Howe employs very similar tactics and we lose 5-1.
  2. He beat Conte's 352 at Chelsea 3-0 by matching up the formation as well, I just don't get it.
  3. 11-12 when we 'let our hair down' under Pardew
  4. Spurs tore Man City apart when they played a high line and pressed them, I don't think this is on the players. I'm not even really criticising Howe, I think he's great and has set us up in ways I didn't understand that worked. I'm just baffled by today and would love to know what he was attempting.
  5. Eddie, what ye deein? That was the exact opposite of how I expected us to set up. The one team where you need to sit back, play on the counter and whatever you do, don't leave space in behind. Dan Burn and Fabian Schar on the half way line. Would love to know what the successful version of today's tactics looked like, because I can't even imagine them.
  6. Find it difficult to put much blame on the players here. I love Howe but the tactics have been so suicidally bad today that they overwhelm any criticism I can really put elsewhere. I actually can't believe how he's had us set up here, as bad as how Lampard had Everton set up, and that's saying something.
  7. Burn should be off, he's lost his marbles here
  8. Why are we still pressing high, man. Fucking hell
  9. It's baffling, just willfully playing to the one thing Spurs are absolutely class at.
  10. Has a Burn sending off written all over it now as well.
  11. First time under Howe I've watched us and wondered what the fuck we're playing at. Completely played into their strength and continue to do so. Damage limitation time now.
  12. Why are we trying to play a press and possession game against spurs ffs? Playing right into their strength (counter attacking) Every time I've seen Spurs struggle it's when teams play in a low block and then counter them
  13. Only half joking about getting on to Ash Willerton to design something like @HeronHe's a Newcastle fan so he might be up for it. Those designs above suggests he could do something in the miner's Union flag style. It's his job though, so you might have to factor in paying him.

It's funny because every single one of RTG to a man and woman will watch it. Those that are raging themselves into early heart attacks over our ownership, with fantastical statements of how they'd protest or turn their backs on Sunderland if it had happened to them, will then do absolutely no self reflection on why they weren't even willing to boycott one world cup. Then they'll go right back to thinking that we won't walk away from Newcastle or protest against the owners because we're uniquely, genetically evil.
  15. Would be up there with Kirby Chambliss as the most American name I've ever heard
  16. Not trying to be critical or anything just seemed really broad for it to just be here's what the Newcastle fans think about the takeover. Usually it's like '"Good game?" understanding the role of modern football fan loyalty in a hypercapitalist bubble'
  17. Not sure what I'm missing like. It's not 'Newcastle United’s new beginning: the fans perspective of the takeover of Newcastle United Football Club' is it? What's the subject?
  18. He sounds like a proper nob, him. Did notice Tindal saying "imagine it like you're herding a sheep into a pen" on that mic'd up video mind. So it's probably true.
  19. It'll come at the expense of any club having to play against them. The whole thing absolutely stinks, football is already un-meritocratic enough as it is.
  20. Has the 'historical qualification' for the Champions League gained any legs? If they sneak that in I can't see there being the kick off that there was over the ESL, but there absolutely should be.
  21. If we can be the team that plays on the counter, there's no reason we can't beat them. Kane and Son are in form, but when they and the rest of Spurs are trying to break teams down rather than playing on the counter, they're not the same. I fancy us to scrape a narrow win.

You'd find fewer people in denial on a conversion therapy forum.
  23. Same argument all dribbling idiots like him use, including the ones that have been on here over the years: Acting like criticism of their opinion is the same thing as saying they can't have an opinion. Usually paired with them saying other people should shut up/leave the country if they don't like something that they do.
