  1. Alan Armstrong—Graham Fenton, cup and league. Welcome to my prematch nerves!
  2. He plays either side, in an attacking wide three; or behind a front man in the middle. I guess that flexibility, and his undoubted energy/combativeness, makes him an attractive (no pun…) option for an EH squad.
  3. So many words. So little balance. Let’s just let the decision makers decide. Right players at right price. They’re not doing so bad so far are they?
  4. More shits required ?
  5. He’s industrious. I like that.
  6. Yep, mainly. Quite funny craic re Botman when was his confused ‘Milan-curious’ phase. But PSG-deluded Hugo wasn’t exempt (though tongue in cheek).
  7. You can get one at the Strawberry (if you’re nearby) with a nice little strawberry on it!
  8. Don’t think he’s fit enough for 90 mins, judging from Howe’s comments, which I think rules him out as a starter.
  9. If that’s were we value him, that’s what we will pay. Not a bad message to get out there to the would be pickpockets.
  10. Proceed until apprehended is my approach!
  11. End of January update to ‘top-ten tracker’ created in June. Thought I’d put it here as well as original thread, as I’ve added 4th place averages. The original, charts where we would be most likely to pick-up points based on strength of opposition (last season’s finishing position) and home/away advantage. We’re 9pts ahead of that original target. I’ve assumed the re-arranged West Ham away will take place in March. Given the top ten hopes have become irrelevant (hallelujah!) I’ve added the average points totals for 4th place in the PL (68 pts based on a 38 game season), the maximum total for 4th (79pts, Arsenal 2013-14) and minimum (60pts, Liverpool 2003-4). We’re currently one point ahead of the average.

  13. ‘Twas an old forum joke. edit: ☝️ what he said.
  14. Makes sense for Lampard to be shuffled out now. Everton not likely to get anything from next two games anyway, so good time to get someone in who then has a bit of time to influence, before two more winnable games against Leeds and Villa.
  15. Starting to fear the worst. I believe we are trying, but with nothing showing up, Howe saying Shelvey going nowhere, no one else (bar Darlow) looking like leaving, and the clock ticking towards some sort of 11th hour scramble, it might well be one in (at best) and perhaps nowhere near their first choice.
