It is a good question. I know my preferred answer!

Oh man! I casually clicked on that link (Botman distraction to blame…). It makes hard reading.

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)

Try harder. He’s a healthy looking dude, think he’d rather pop down to Big River’s ranchero ? -
West Ham have picked up a bit of a tit.

They might be looking for a surgical solution to get that piano off his back ? -
I’d be happy with 8th or above. But worth keeping our pessimism in check and bearing in mind that we got 80% of our points (39 of 49) last year in the last 19 games. It is very unlikely we would just continue where we left off and knock out a 78 point season (good enough for third last year), but even if the same squad/management’s form fell away by 25%, that would mean a 59 point season (enough for 6th last year). With new additions I don’t think it is crazy to be aiming for that, even if we would be happy with 8th.

Will, no doubt (now), move very quickly through security. -
If that was his flight, it’s landed!

Apparently we made an enquiry to Leeds over the weekend. Seems to me like the competition would be too tough for us.

If and when they were on on their game could be very difficult to play against. Just can’t see that occurring very regularly. A risky and expensive trio me thinks.

After some fluctuation in opinion, he’s gradually gotten faster, particularly over this weekend. Now resumed full on rapido status. -
I’ve heard (60 seconds ago rattling through my empty mind…) that he’s a Mad LKF ( Last Kingdom Fan) and is planning on buying/living in Bamburgh Castle. Destiny is all ??

Just booked a rooftop tour. Who knew there were such things!

Last time I stick my head in here. -
Apparently, on this day in 1963, Lennon and McCartney wrote ‘She Love You’ in their Newcastle hotel room. Beatles… Geordie!

(He is)… but he looks sad ?

☝️ could work. At the risk of displaying my ignorance, does having a CEO really matter in a football environment where we’ve got a clear direction and leaders much closer to the ‘business’?

Meets my criteria. Plus, let’s have jazz too. Louis Armstrong. Good Northumbrian name.

With most of the acts mentioned, probs best done twenty years ago ?

To be fair to our Wearside cousins, whilst Sting, Mark Knopfler, and Brian Johnson are genuine world stars, hard to beat Toy Dolls! Also, Angelic Upstarts, Prefab Sprout, Bryan Ferry and Alan Price may re-ignite turf wars about which areas prefer a red or black to go with their white stripes. I’d also add Pet Shop Boys and Lighthouse Family to the North East musical melting pot.

Can’t see us gambling on Wilson staying fit unless we have real confidence in alternatives. Kind of depends on Howe’s appraisal of how much Wood brings (goals can come from elsewhere) and expectation/level of developing striker we bring in. Would be great to go large on a marquee striker but we were basically the third best performing PL team over 2022. Even a marked down turn in that form, which was over 19 games so hardly a flash in the pan, could see us finishing top eight and on track for where they probably see the progression of the club.
