If we were to create a Newcastle best games collection

For joy, at result, both 1-0 FA Semi wins at Old Trafford (Sheff Utd and Spurs). The obvious two (Man Utd 5-0 and Barca under the floodlights 3-2). Such amazing atmospheres. I also really loved the final game of the Rafa relegation season (5-1 Spurs) phenomenal atmosphere and great work by Gallowgate male voice choir, literally, throughout. Many springing to mind, but would add as a less likely choice the final game of the promotion season, when we won the Championship ( thanks Jack Grealish!) 3-0 at home to Barnsley. -
What on earth are they doing? If that is a standing jump, Paul ‘slam-dunk’ Dummett is a loss to basketball!

It’s the official week of (mainly frustrating…) waiting, Peppe. -
I think it’s a transparently bollocks comment. Made with full awareness of how widely it would be read. Also noticed a statement from the manager saying any deals for ‘HE’ or the other two players, who have been touted around, would have to be done before 10 July, when they go on pre-season tour. And if they weren’t completed by then, they would be cancelled. Also bollocks.

Cheeky fucker. Not sure why I am offended but I know I am.

No one deemed worth listing yet on .COM transfer rumours page for July. Linked with 30 players in June (many more who didn’t warrant listing there) 3 signed. There were 26 rumours last July (only one, Willock eventually signed). Wonder how many we’ll be linked to this month?

More stuff on Madueke from All Nigeria Soccer: Style of play “Madueke's style of play A direct multi-angled threat in 1v1 situations, Madueke is a nightmare to defences thanks to his trickery, pace, ball control, flair and physical strength all working together. In possession, Madueke often cuts in from the right flank with scary directness and ferociousness, working his way towards the opponents' box through the half-spaces where he may fire shots or put a teammate in with a sharp through pass. Even with his back to goal, Madueke is confident in his ability to hold the ball and spin off the defender, instead of playing a back-pass. This ability makes him highly unpredictable.” Their take on us: “Newcastle United With the new influx of cash from their new Arab owners, Newcastle is an emerging force to reckon with. With players like Allan Saint-Maximin, Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier, former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has created an extremely attacking 4-3-3 set-up at the club. Eddie Howe's 4-3-3 is however not based on **Juego De Posición as it is extremely free with players being able to interchange frequently.” They conclude, style of play wise, that they think he’d be better suited for Spurs (though would struggle for game time), Leeds or Leicester. **Explained here: https://spielverlagerung.com/2014/11/26/juego-de-posicion-a-short-explanation/

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

Still only 28. Decent return for Torino 113 goals in 251 games. 12 in 44 for Italy —all against shit teams though.

Maybe it was that beardy would be buyer (busking).

Noni Madueke. Speculative link with PSV’s England U21 right winger/forward. Seen as being similar style player to Foden. https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/newcastle-united-news/newcastle-united-interested-psv-noni-madueke-transfer-news-magpies/

You and most of us, no doubt. Suspect many more will be paying attention to exciting young prospects in future. Especially when we’re in the Europa League next year! (7th qualifies apparently, HTL )
